Literally the exact same story was "leaked" before his last fight against Alvarez. It's just disinfo being put out there to mess with Floyd. Conor's camp doesn't even do hard sparring. When he was on TUF, he made a big deal about how training is for sharpening the mind, not wearing down the body.
