Have this debate semi regularly.

If one dude is 7/10 on all surfaces, and another is 6/10 on all surfaces but one, where he is 11/10, who is actually the greater player?

tennis is prob the most intense sport to watch, used to be football guy all the way, but then started watching tennis matches, and the intensity that most of those matches have throughout is unparalleled. insane winners and impossible saves are just as nice as the best goals in football.

Tennis is not a sport

It's way too monotonous unless the match is evenly balanced.

Respect the athletes though. It's one of the mentally toughest sports.

Squash is objectively better than Tennis in every aspect

I have this love hate relationship with tennis. If in the mood, and theres a good match up, it's fantastic. Other days, say it's fed vs a scrub, it reminds me of watching ten pin bowling and seeing someone hit strikes. Nice to watch but after a while it gets expected.

Then I feel bad about the journeymen. There was this Australian player who cracked the top 100, can't remember his name, and his entire career earnings was somewhere just over 1.2mil. Factor in flights, accommodation, medical, gear, I'm not sure if he made any money? Other sports you can easily name 100 active players who will be very well off.
