That slump last season was obviously just a slump, and during that period a lot of guys still played well.
When you spend half the season playing like shit across the board it isn't merely a slump. Something is very wrong with this team.
They can still turn it around but this is far more worrying than last seasons rough stretch.

Well I can't spin a positive out of this game, even if you gave the first inning a mulligan, Cubs would have still lost 3-4.

Regardless, All Star Break is here and it will allow the Cubs to regroup. Maybe even make the hard choice about making a trade even though this feels more like a collective slump they can't break out of.
