Was there ever really a debate that he was better?
>>
Brady is the product of a system. Manning broke the TD record with John Fox as coach. That speaks for itself.
>>
Peyton was a shell of a shell of himself in their last meeting and outperformed Tom.
>>
Only casuals ever thought Manning was better
>>

>>76997616
t. Samefag who's never watched an NFL game in their life
>>
Who, Payton? Anyone who watches handegg for five minutes could see he was the far superior QB. Idiots can only see rings and use that as a marker for who is the best of all time.
>>
>>76997637
>tf
>tt
>>
>>76997616

Brady's entire offensive line was dead. Plus the NFL was fully behind Peyton going out on top (Which explains the no-call on Talib's DPI at the end of the game and all the dubious/missed calls in the Super Bowl)
>>
>>76997616
>outperformed

Holy Kek no he'd didn't. Manning had such a shitty playoff run luckily he had one of the best pass rushes ever. Also brady lost because he had no run game nor an oline. Literally every play was a pass play that Brady had to throw quick as fuck because that line couldn't block for shit
>>
>>76997369
What I admired about Peyton transcends football. He always put in hard work, and he truly loved every aspect of the game and competitiveness. He never did anything half, and never had any excuses. He was probably one of the most pure "American football" players we've ever seen. If you look at all-time stats between the two? Tom Brady is 100% a better player. What happens on the field isn't the only thing that makes someone "great" and in my mind Peyton will always be the GOAT.
>>
>>76997616
you mean his historic defense raped brady's backup oline while he managed the game?

he played like shit in that game until the Broncos starting safeties went out.

he played like shit because he played against one of the best defenses in history on the road with 2 starting olineman, that's literally it

it literally makes me feel sick when i see posters with my flag saying peyton is better

you're all fucking delusional if you actually believe that

yeah you're right it's pointless trying to convince peyton fags that he didn't play with a shitload of offensive talent his whole career

Peyton is obviously the better actual quarterback
Brady achieved more success in regards to championships

manning betas thought junk yards in a dome mattered

even the superbowl he lost 8-40 something he had "good stats"

He has more success. Doesn't mean he was actually the more skilled or talented player.

Not a fan of either team or player but PeyPey did a shitload of stat padding for those once he got near the goal line
>>
>>76998571
peyton threw 34 completions... they were just junk and didnt really help the team win
>>
It doesn't matter who have more talent. Brady is superior to Peyton in every aspect of life.more success in football. Better wife .increadible attractive. Super rich and successful wife ( the goat supermodel no less) and also tom dosnt need doctors help to make babies.

Manning getting humiliated in that Seahawks blowout is what confirmed it. It was the most one-sided Superbowl of all time.

Goddamn i fucking hate that term. He's a 3-4 OLB. He doesn't only rush the passer, he drops into coverage and defends the run

Obviously in hindsight Brady is better but only neo patriot bandwagon fans(who didn't watch the original patriots dynasty) act like it wasn't a legitimate question. You couldn't even seriously consider Brady until 2004 at the earliest and not until 2007 where Brady was starting to assert himself on the mount Rushmore with his crazy MVP Campaign. Hell there were ACTUAL patriot fans that thought Bellichick made a mistake at the time by trading Bledsoe to Buffalo.

the Turning Point?

2013-2014. Brady has a meh season in 2013 but they're still able to get to afc title game and Brady gets embarrassingly outplayed by Peyton. Peyton shreds the patriots for 400 yards and two touchdowns.

at that moment Peyton had a chance to take Brady's throne but then he melted down in Super Bowl 48. If he had beaten the hawks then who knows but Brady rebounded and claimed goat status by knocking off seattle.

Peyton managed to get another ring but it wasn't the same. Brady had already won.

both mount rushmore quarterbacks, Brady was better in the end due to better intangibles.
>>
>>76997369
No, Peyton was a much better player in every aspect of the game.

>>77000446
For those of you who don't know better, this is a joke. See 2003 (Ty Law forced the NFL to change the rules after he exposed no-calling on manhandling receivers) and 2012 (The greatest non-SB game to ever be played) if you think otherwise.
>>
>>77000773
Not saying Peyton is better, but that's a dumb thing to criticize him for, as it's a function of how long he played. Same with slamming Favre for having the most INTs, it's because he was good enough to play for a long time. A shitty QB would never have that record because he wouldn't last long enough.
>>
Dome stats shouldn't be allowed
>>
Favre is better than both combined.
>>
>>77003233
the opening safety was bad luck because it gave seattle momentum early but still when your offense is supposed to be historic and you can't stop turning the ball over and only get 8 points it says something.

The Seahawks were way too fast for the Broncos.
>>
>>77003357
Von Miller wasn't even in that game. Can you imagine how much different it would have been with him?

>but injures happen to both sides!
He got knocked for PEDs. Guess who got off on a technicality for that same charge? Would you still consider it to have been a fair matchup if Sherman were out and the Broncos won 43-8?
>>
>>77003482
Pass Rushers like Miller help close games, not come from behind.

The Seahawks had the lead before Miller would even play a snap and the seahawks were still a rushing team at that point.

It's just game script bro. Not all teams like the falcons are dumb enough to be doing deep drop back passes with huge leads
>>
>>76997651
Holy shit are panturds still salty over being exposed as a shitty team that went far on a soft schedule that season?
>>
>>76997597
To be honest. Brady plays to win, Peyton played for records, and this is why Brady has three more rings than Pey Pey
>>
>>76998157
A team can have all stars in every position and still be shit if the coaching is bad. People seem to forget that football is just as much about strategy as it is about athleticism
>>
>>77003482
They would have lost like they did to the Seahawks the next year in Centurylink.
>>
>>77000099
This is the dumbest argument ever. Even if Manning is better than Brady, the difference is not by that large of a margin.

You remember when Tom Brady got real receivers and actually set the single season TD record? Stop pretending Tom Brady is a mediocre QB on a great team. He's a legitimately great QB on a great team. If he had been on the Colts, he doesn't end up with 5 rings, but I would bet money he still gets one or two.
>>
What would happen if Brady were to win two more rings? Would this retarded debate finally end?
>>
>>77004108
He isn't on the same level as Belichick, but Tony Dungy was a pretty good coach. And while you can criticize Fox, he's certainly not terrible either. Peyton hasn't been completely hamstrung by incompetent coaching.
>>
>>77007670
The debate has been over for years, but peyton fans are going to cling to their beliefs no matter what.
>>
>>77003357
Didn't the 18-1 Patriots only muster 13 points against a much worse Giants team?
>>
>>77003183

Yeah, I forgot they lost by 2 points.
>>
>>77007670
There literally has been no debate for the past 3 years
>>
>>76997369
Before Brady's 4th Owl, Peytonfags relentlessly made threads on /sp/, claiming that Peyton > Brady. Most killed themselves after Brady's comeback against the Seahawks. The remnants clung to Peyton's Owl next year (vs Panthers), but even they knew he had nothing to do with their win. He was even benched for being so awful.

The remnants were about to make a comeback this February during half time, but by the time the game was over, they had all committed suicide. The only "Peytonfags" left are actually just Patriots haters (ie colts, raiders, eagles, ravens, NY teams, montanafags)
>>

>>
>>77014618
The 18-1 Patriots were a garbage meme team that had a bloated record from beating up on a weak as fuck schedule.
They were the Panthers of a couple years back.
So yes, a mediocre shit squad only put up 13 on a team of overachievers.
>>
Brady would be average without Belichick.
>>
>>77021106
this is such bait it's hilarious, go ahead and reply to this post but I'm not arguing with someone that's so genuinely retarded
>>
>>77021106

During the 16-0 season the Patriots only played teams that had been in the playoffs the previous year or went to the playoffs that year.
>>
>>77023699

>>
>>77003268
>Function of how long he played
Brady was drafted 2 years later and has 11 more wins
>>
>>77024605
Brady is also the GOAT and has 25 playoff wins when the next closest guy has 16

Brady is the exception not the norm, even among hall of fame quarterbacks
