That's an apples to oranges comparison. The french league is closer to the headless chicken running style of the EPL except with much more terrible defences. Italian play is slower paced and some players just can't adjust to it.
French league players generally do ok in the EPL you just have to take off about 10-15 goals in production levels.
Take 10 goals off Lacazette's 18 (he's not taking penalties at Arsenal) and you have another Giroud with worse goals ratio.
