And as far as I can tell you're saying that's stupid because of (1) fatigue makes that challenging and (2) being outside of the top 4 gives them a good (or better?) shot at winning finals anyway, because they get an extra week's rest. I never said trying hard was stupid mate. I said people get tired. Absolutely, every team should give the best of their ability to win by as much as possible but like I said, after the hurt they put on them in the first half, which requires supreme effort and co-ordination, how can they not be fatigued in a game that requires this much athleticism and you expect them to be as fresh in Q4 as they were in Q1. I inferred that because of the week off (which was introduced in 2016) it gives the teams who are in the finals common starting point and as such, from the only year we've had to look at since the introduction of the break, a team outside of the top 4, and shit one at that (which you keep ignoring) won the hip.

Richmond had been running around for 4 quarters as well, fatigue is no excuse, especially when a lot of the decrease in scoreboard pressure came from missed oppourtunities created by losing out in clearances, rather than in poor tackling or tagging or smothering or kicking accuracy. See despite constantly impressing on her the bombers and dressing her up in the colours, little did I know that my wife has been brainwashing her when I haven't been around. My wife doesn't really care too much for footy, but she told me she'd been getting her to say she likes Port Adelaide that when I haven't been around.

Still time, she's only a 2 year old kid so it's meaningless at this point, but it's a free life and Port are part of the ATB so I don't mind if she ends up choosing them.
