Let's talk about future South Bay Laker and Chinese Basketball Association star Lonzo Ball as well as other notable small ballers
>when you bust but hes still suckin
I've been a laker fan all my life and this debut was the most disappointing thing I've seen. Including Kobes last season, including the Chris Paul trade veto, including losing to the Celtics in 08' by 39 in game 6, even losing Shaq, even, The Detroit Pistons Finals defeat. Lonzo Balls debut felt like a very low point in laker history. There's a chance he never starts a game imo after what I saw last night, and I was routing for the guy obviously.
At least BI is looking much improved
>5 pts, 5 ast
>big baller
Pick one and only one.
It's only 1 game STFU, he'll do better in the regular season

Just look at what Fultz and Tatum are doing for their summer squads. Hell even Luke Kennard has been looking quality.
What a teeny, tiny, little baller

WHERE MY SMALL BALLARS AT?
>>76987758
>the lavar act was to distract from how bad lonzo really is
BBB wins again
Small baller reporting
ETA until another Lonzo "air" Ball summer league disaster?
>taking one summer league game this serious
>microdick ballers in charge of analysis
When will small ballers learn lads?
>>76997149
He never recovered from having his ass eaten by Fox
>tfw like basketball as a sport but hate literally everything about the NBA as a league
Why does the NBA have to be the way it is? There is such a long laundry list of reasons why the NBA sucks.
Every single player who gets on the floor against him will care only about dunking in his face or breaking his ankles.
>>76987758
I don't know basketball, I just enjoyed BBB memes. Tell it to me straight lads, is there ANY hope of Lonzo recovering from this?
Hahaha thanks for next year's pick you suck
>>76997149
Point guards take more time than others desu
>>76998601
Das right, all these baby ballers are reeing over nothing.
>>76999152
De'aaron Fox looks just fine to me.
>De'Aaron Foxs back-up
>will still be better than Lonzo Ball
ITT: We post bigger ballers than Lonzo Bust
>>76997271
Luke is looking like the steal of the draft. He's a top 5 pick that was drafted in the teens
>he played terribly against the clipper summer league team
>he will do better against NBA players in the deepest position in the league
cant wait to see lonzo get fucking worked by russ, wall, dame, steph etc
>Summer League
Literally nothing
>>76999152
Fultz and Fox look miles ahead of Ball at this point
>>76999152
Well, Parker became a starter for the Spurs a few games in his first NBA season and reached the conference finals this year, and got a ring the next season.
>tfw your own son is a small baller
>>77000972
lavar conned everyone
last two digits is Zo's shooting % next game when he redeems himself
>>77001201
Draymond triple double confirmed.
>>77001201
worst bust ever
>>77001201
>>77001201
lmfaoooo
>only a few more hours before he gets btfo again
>>76987758
>thinking summer league is relevant in any way
He's still gonna be a bust but you're all being retarded
>>76999152
That's not true at all. It's usually big men that have to take time to develop their game not guards.
>>77000604
>can't even perform in a practice league
how will he compete when people are going hard? will he even be on the nba roster in october?
>>77001576
>>77000604
Summer League doesn't matter if you're good in it, because you're just playing against D-League scrubs.
But it DOES matter if you fucking suck in it, because you fucking suck against D-League scrubs.
And there's a pretty good bust rate for players that suck in Summer League
>>77001201
Kek
>>77001621
That is totally bullshit. Big man are big. They can rebound, they don't lose their weight, or height.
There has been very few point guards who are day 1 good, and Kyrie is the only one I can think of. And he's the score-first type who could play SG.
>>77004768
Most big men are extremely awkward and not nearly as athletic as they should be right out of college. Because they're so big they haven't had time to develop or adjust to the NBA game, which has plenty of other big men you can't just bully like in high school and college, and it takes years often to develop high-level footwork and post moves. That's why historically Centers would almost always spend 4 years in college, as well as to continue growing taller and maintaining a good weight.
Guards on the other hand often don't ever have much of a height advantage, so they're used to similar competition, and they need to be ready to shoot at a decent level if they want an NBA team to even think about drafting them.
I mean did you start watching basketball yesterday? That's all pretty common knowledge.
>>77014129
They don't need to be athletic. You're smoking some heavy shit. There are tons of big man who have done well from the very beginning of their careers.
You're fucking retarded if you think they have a harder time adjusting then a playmaking position like PG. How many have the driving ability, finishing ability, court vision, and NBA level understanding of the game in order to be a play maker? Almost fucking none.
How many bigs have the skills to rebound their first year? How many have the length to block? A lot. How many have the strength/weight to post up? A lot.
Big man's game is always better at first. You busting your cap over Tatum, but he's only going be an above average player.
There's no real strong correlation either way. This is a map of 71 all time great players and when their statistical prime year was. The only thing it really says is guards tend to be more unpredictable than forwards.
I understand this is a pretty poor way of measuring it but if it was clear one way or another it would probably show here.
>>77014740
Now, look at the big man drafted in the top 5. Completely different ball game.
>>77001201
>>76998621
College Basketball is the only kind I watch tbqh. High schoolers are becoming way too hyped and sensational but college is so pure.
>he turns out to be a meme
Wow who would've guessed
>>77014129
But now centers are going to the NBA because they want their paychecks early, even if they aren't ready.
