If (when) this whole thing goes horribly wrong, will sixers fans kill themselves?
Sixers fan here.
Depends how the Eagles are doing but yeah I'll probably kill myself
It won't go wrong because it has already been a success. Young franchise-calibur talent is something sixers fans have never known, not since AI.
You have not known suffering unless you've had Billy King responsible for building your team, or you've had your team decide to trade for and build the team around Andrew Bynum despite doctors explicitly telling them that he was cooked.
How could it go horribly wrong?

except it's completely unproven in the NBA

Doesn't matter. If you're not from the area, you can't fathom what the excitement around this team is like. Sixers talk has surpassed eagles talk on sports talk stations. Embiid has already become the most beloved Philly athlete since Brian Dawkins. This current hype has already made the tank worthwhile.

until December when Embiid and Simmons are injured, and Fultz is revealed to be a poor man's D'Angelo Russell.
What then?

most beloved since Weapon X? That's complete bullshit. He's all talk until he blows it

Again, you have no idea what it's like in this area right now.

Embiid honestly has a chance to be a huge star. Did you watch any Sixers games last year? There was a noticeable difference in intensity when he played. Not just from Embiid himself too, his teammates and the fans as well. It seems like he is having fun on the floor and it rubbed off on other players. Thats why we like him.

>4 years of being the worst team in the NBA history is worth it because of one summer of a few months of thinking the team might be good

Everyone involved with "The Process" should be publicly executed desu

I think the process is good, it's just I'd be scared as fuck from all the injury concerns.
In a way they're like the mets of the NBA, years of getting all these assets only to find out they're all made of glass
