Why do I still follow this team?
I had never seen a winning season in my life until 2013, but then it happened. Would this young core of talented players open a long window for us to win a World Series? It sure seemed like that, especially after Nutting and Huntington promised McCutchen and the city they would spend more once they won. But they didn't. They held onto all of their unproven prospects when they could have used them to land a blockbuster deal and still have more prospects left over.
Time and time again I have seen this team trade away good players for nothing, and I am sure the same will soon happen with McCutchen. He will be traded for MORE prospects that never pan out, just like Jason Bay.
I honestly would rather just see the team sell and move than continue to have this pathetic excuse of a baseball club be associated with my city. You hear that, Bob and Neal? I would rather lose 100+ years of history than to ever see your faces in this city again. That is how much I hate you. I get that baseball is a business, but you take this shit to a whole other level.
What kind of young, uprising team begins a fucking rebuilding phase AFTER THREE YEARS without EVER getting farther than the NLDS?

Yeah, I didn't mind that trade. I kind of thought it was dumb to sign him to a long term deal, given his inconsistent past, at the time. Especially when that money could have been well-spent somewhere else. There were pitchers with better track records out there.

Iktf lad. I don't even watch baseball for competition. If the buccos win that's nice but they're just an excuse to drink.
