If Kane (and Rashford) play in their clubs, the only reason is UEFA homegrown domestic players rules. Because of them, English clubs *MUST* have English players, so they have to play them, whatever their performance. So if they have a good English player, he's basically a God, and can ask whatever salary he wants.

It's not a UEFA rule, it's a premier league rule, and the rule is you must have 8 "homegrown" players (of any nationality) in your squad of 20 odd players, so you're not forced to start anyone.
