You need multiple ball handlers that can play defense or move off the ball and play defense, shoot from mid range to the three, and get to the rim or make the right passes.

The San Antonio Spurs are the only model of success in the last 10 years that's carried on regardless of anything that's happened and you see it in every successful team.

Most spot up shooters can't play defense or cut well enough. The Thunder need 3 and D wings, back up point guards or combo guards that can make the right passes and hold the fort while the starters sit, and that's it.
