As much as Lucic has slowed down, he's still a top 6 player. It's not like a 3rd liner is making 6, so Drai should get 9. Lucic will probably be playing on Draisaitl's wing, so the argument is closer to "a less skilled, but proven 2nd line winger is making 6, so a more skilled/unproven 2nd line centre should get 8".

I think it'll end up being around $8m per for Draisaitl. If it's more, again, the Oilers are fucked before they even got to start making noise in the playoffs, and I'll be HELLO DARKNESS, MY OLD FRIENDing with the rest of them.
