Or as you faggots call it, "Video Assistant Referees".
So, how has this system been performing so far?
we've needed this badly for a long time. they just have to fix the timing. goal line technology ref just looks at his watch and that's it. this takes forever.

FIFA is effectively a bunch of noobs trying out new technology and the procedures that come along with it. It's funny already reading up on conservative viewpoints criticizing the technology.
>muh flow of the game
Give it time. FIFA will figure and sort this shit out.
>>76710700
It's obvious they're trying to make it seem that it hinders the game so they take them away. Can't fix matches when everyone knows you have the tools to overturn calls.
>>76706872
It's awful. It takes too long and decisions as close as the Chilean 1-0 against Cameroon will lead to controversy anyway since they analyse arbitrary frames.
And then some possibly controversial decisions don't get checked at all, it's all an arbitrary rollercoaster of shit.

Whatever happened to the "referee is part of the game"?
>And then some possibly controversial decisions don't get checked at all
FIFA needs to list things that can be subjected to video review, while leaving the rest of the game up to the referee on the field.
Primarily, anything that affects goals should be subject to review. Whether the ball crossed the line or not, goal line technology speeds up that process. Onside/offside calls and fouls in the box should be subject to review.

Furthermore, once the refs. become more competent at handling the new technology, everything should operate much much more smoothly. Right now, it is merely a transition period on a trial-by-error basis.
it's surprisingly really bad, at this rate goals will be called back because one hand is offside

Yeah, let's slow the game down even more, so you Americans can follow it at your own pace.
Imagine a situation where Team A attacks, loses the ball in a somewhat controversial way, handball or so, and then Team B scores on the counter.
Who in the world would understand why the game gets reverted to a situation a minute ago?
And who in the world would understand stopping the counter to "check if there was a hand ball"?
>>76712465
See this asshole? VAR would have caught this, put it for review, and award the proper rules. USA should have gotten a PK attempt while the handball is red carded off.
The system is designed to make sure shit like this does not happen again.

Way to completely ignore the point, you fucking clown.
>>76713199
Next time, use actual scenarios, instead of made up bullshit excuses.

got it 3 times and each to >our detriment
