It seems to be more that the Greens are being accepted more as a valid vote and less of a waste of a vote. I think a lot of Labour votes will migrate to the Greens now it's seen more as a legitimate vote and from the people I talk to that were well and truly in the Labour camp that's what's happening.
Then again that is a small sample of people so who knows.
>>
>>76672742
We thought this would happen last time. It did to a certain extent but greens only ended up with like 15%.

I really think there'll be little to no change from the numbers from last time tttt. Might see a second ACT MP since Seymour's doing some solid ground work but otherwise it'll be a classic Labour 25% Green 15% split
>>

>>
>>76672761
The Greens have improved a lot though. They only had just over 10% in the 2014 election, so a 5% increase would be a huge win for them. They're coming close to successfully taking over the liberal SJW side of the Labour vote, but a lot of coconuts and union members aren't socially liberal which seems to be the main hurdle for the Greens.

>>
>>76673002
Opportunities party is best
>>
>>76673002
There is no "Liberal Party" in NZ. Here are the ones of note:

>National
Centre-right faggotry. As typical of a popular right-wing party as you can get. They have been in power since 2008.

>Labour
Centre-left faggotry. Becoming less and less popular.

>Greens
further left than Labour and gradually growing in popularity. To learn more about Labour and Greens, just read the last 20ish posts

>NZ First
Anti-immigration party. Basically New Zealand's UKIP and kiwi/pol/'s party of choice.

>Maori Party
They just deal with Maori matters, not much else to them really.

>ACT
A conservative party. They barely survive by making deals with National.

>United Future
See ACT, but they are more centrist.

>Opportunities Party
A meme party set up by a kiwi millionaire named Gareth Morgan. They're desperately trying to take the populist angle from NZ First and currently failing.

North, Halfpenny and Warburton are the best in their respective position on tour.

Gatland might pussy out and start SOB/Elbows O'Cunt instead of Warburton but the other 2 will definitely start.

North doesn't have to prove shit in the warm up games because he's the best winger on tour so gets an easy ride.

Halfpenny is literally competing with his own shadow to start since the angry Scottish midget went home

Few problems with the team for the first test.

Itoje, Kruis and George have had an outstanding partnership for club and country for over a year. All of them should start. Jones should be on the bench.

Jones and Warburton on the bench doesn't offer much impact though, so I'd have Stander instead of Warburton. Warburton isn't the type of player to change a game off the bench. He should either start or not be involved. This isn't an Ireland/Wales thing either. If Moriarty had stayed fit, I'd probably have had him ahead of Stander.

I'm also unsure of Halfpenny on the bench. I'd probably start him with Williams or Daly on the bench, but if he doesn't start I think the number 23 should be more versatile.

That said though, I'm 85-90% happy with the team. Thank God the Sexton-Farrell meme isn't going ahead.

Legs are big and muscle is heavy. Add in some low body fat and you have a heavy shorter person.
In the official stats they release they also tend to lie a little. "In the middle of his off season bulk, straight after a massive breakfast and before he took a shit this was his weight" not a lie lie but it's not necessarily the actual weight as he runs on the field.

The article completely forgets that the Highlanders won I didn't actually see any mention of them. It takes a couple of quotes by shag out of context too, regardless of how well they do it is still an itinerary from hell. It also doesn't really mention the barbars being close. It then acts like the Chiefs were full strength. And then acts like the Crusaders are the flagship of NZ rugby. It also acts like the Māoris are on the some level as the AB's.
Really it is a terrible article written like the author doesn't know rugby at all and it really sounds like the author is a "big red tide" fan.
The win vs the Crusaders is probably the only unexpected result in the lions favour. They should have beaten the Blues and Highlanders, the Māoris were always bit of a toss up 2bh but it was largely expected the lions win and treat it like a test match. The barbars weren't expected to even get points on the board and the left overs of the Chiefs should never have won either, it was unexpected that they beat the Welsh last year.

Yeah, ill give you that. It functioned more efficiently if less aggressive than Maro/Kruis. Need a old calm head in the pack.

All the back three are wingers/FB and all have gas. Great for countering the AB kicking game.

Peak T'eo is starting so we'll have go-forward.

That we can agree on, but he's still a good director.

MacGregor is a good actor alright and he was famous already, but he only became WORLD famous because he appeared alongside a fine Irish actor named Liam Neeson in the disastrous Phantom Menace.

Rugby is a type of football developed at Rugby School in Rugby, Warwickshire, one of many versions of football played at English public schools in the 19th century. The two main types (known as codes) of rugby are rugby league and rugby union. Although rugby league initially used rugby union rules, they are now wholly separate sports.

in all non-meming seriousness I think AWJ is starting for leadership and experience more than anything. Without him you've only got Vunipola, SOB and Faletau who have started a Lions test before, none of whom are really leaders. Giving POM a good lieutenant in the pack seems like a smart idea, especially since you have Itoje on the bench to come on and make an impact

Worse decision IMO is having Warburton on the bench, as he's really a 'starts or isn't in the 23' kind of player. Should have been Stander or even Lawes, given that both Itoje and Lawes can cover back row as well as lock
>>
>>76692327

>>76692444
Itoje and Lawes can only cover 6 as well as lock, and neither are world class flankers. Warburton can cover 6 and 7. Stander has just played too much rugby and needs a break. Tips would have been the only better bench option than Warburton IMO.

O'Mahony can cover 7 if SOB gets crocked
SOB can cover 8 in a pinch if Faletau gets crocked

Don't be ridiculous, Jared Payne and Nathan Hughes are as well.
>>
>>76695633
Apart from SOB none of the starters are massively injury prone.
Two leaders in POM and AWJ so the kiwis can't be absolute madmen and take two captains out.
Farrell and Te'o will be rocks in defence.

I'd probably say Murray too, though the pack is big enough to keep him well protected.
>>
>>76695841
Davies will be the most important player defensively. We saw it in the Maori game, he slammed the door on any attempts to make an outside break (the NMS one in particular). In the Pro12 semi as well, every time Sexton looped round JD2 smashed him into next week.
If SOB/Te'o/Davies can asbolutely munch Barrett a few times in the first half we'll be in with a great chance.

I'm surprised Dagg is there, his lethargic and lazy play for the Crusaders v the Lions shouldn't be rewarded. He got worked over with the increased work rate by their kicking game. He isn't match fit yet and needs more time 2bh. Should have been Ioane and Savea on the wings imo. The lack of a winger on the bench is because first five will sub on and Barrett will push out wide or to fullback pushing Smith to wing, either is and good move really.

With Crotty fit we could drop $B₩ never to be seen again, his selection always seemed to be "what if Crotty can't play? We can't have 2 lads on debut". Bit disappointed in that selection though he has played well they have always said they reward loyalty and $B₩ is the opposite.

I agree with you on Cane & best Savea. Best Savea can cover more loose forward positions as well so he is a good cover pick and a good player for the bench when we aren't 100% that Read can go the distance.
