Since the 70s civil rights movement white people have been confined to certain positions (QB, OL, TE, LB, K, P) as a political matter. Great white prospects are ignored in favor of "high upside" black players (i.e. in our imaginations we think a black player will be better even though he has never shown it).

People have lost their jobs and been labeled racist for pointing out the system that is in place. Even people who have tried to justify it by suggesting that blacks are more athletic (as if sports were just sprinting competitions) have been labeled racist and shunned because they had the audacity to point out the racist system.
