By doing things that would make the league less money.

- shorten the regular season
- contract the league (only 20 teams, maybe even 16)
- reduce the number of games in a playoff series back to 5 (only the finals should be a best of 7)
- allow for more physically play
- get rid of ticky tack fouls like the sideswipe
- allow players to talk trash and only call technicals or eject them if there is excessive physical contact
