>13 years old
>somehow made it onto HS varsity lacrosse
>completely fucked up repeatedly in my first ever game, nervous as hell, kept throwing the ball away, dropping it, etc.
>coach subbed me out, told me to take my gear off, then at halftime made me stand in front of the whole team while he cursed me out
Couldn't look anyone in the eye until sophomore year

>get hit in the face with a fastball at age 11
>leave the field crying and go to hospital
>quit baseball
2006 world cup, was watching one of the games with school friends (4 girls were there btw) and could not contain a big ol fart
I just froze in place, just stayed put in the couch bc any move would've made it far worse, and hoped everyone would have forgotten it by the end of the match
>15
>sick, can't play important away game
>we need you, you can come in from the bench
>coach convinces me
>feelsgoodman, decide to come with
>bus ride on our way to the game
>shit myself
>11 years old
>used to play as a winger
>everyone told me to play as striker
>everybody ignoring me
>asks for ball, nothing
>can hardly kick the ball
>suddenly I find myself in position to score
>friend passes to me instead of trying to finish himself
>I score the most obvious tap-in in history
>even cristiano ronaldo would be proud of me
>I start yelling
>'you should have let me play'
>I'm now crying
>crying a fucking lot
>I can't play anymore due to deep sadness and insatisfaction in my life
>I can' stop crying
>I get back to the class 30 minutes later and score two or more goals
Tipped a shot onto the post only to have it rebound in off my face, jumped up to catch a tame bouncing shot only to have it go through my legs and in, and as a child inexplicably playing on full sized pitches, having an outfield player take goal kicks because I couldn't welly it further than about a quarter of the way up the pitch.
Goalkeeper truely is the loneliest position.

>12 years old
>playing goalie in soccer
>important game that would determine a playoff placement
>sudden urge of diarrhea
>had to leave in the middle of the game for 30 minutes
>dad had to drive me to a grocery store 10 minutes away
>when we get back the other team scored 6 goals on the replacement goalie
>end up against the best team in the first round due to retarded seeding system
My diarrhea cost my team a good playoff spot
>>76469717
the fucking arena didn't have a locker room with bathrooms? Or even bathrooms for the fans that you could have taken a shit in?
What kind of craptastic arena was this, Rogers Place?
>>76468688
damn i bet that shit built character tho

>age 14
>batting
>swing
>ball crushes my hand
because the ball hit me, and not the bat, it wasn't a foul ball.
because i was swinging, it wasn't a HBP.
i struck out and broke my hand on the same pitch
years later, my dad told me he was glad i stopped playing because i was terrible and he got nervous every time a ball was hit to me.
>be me in high school, '10
>playing handegg with some friends before a concert
>pretty much MVP of the match: solid tackles, forced fumbles, two picks, no-look lateral that led to a td
>near the end of the game
>other team's QB overthrows egg over a fence
>tell everyone I'll get it
>hop over fence
>shoe gets caught on top
>faceplant hard, but didn't draw any blood
>m8s give me shit for the rest of the month
Good times. Also took a basketball to the face/mouth area during a game.
Missed the game winning free throws desu senpai

Sexually molested by the coach.
>>76474890
I actually got in trouble for doing the same to my coach
>>76468629
>12 years old
>pitcher for my shitty baseball team
>hated pitching for years, slowly cracking under the pressure
>mediocre player on the other team hits a home run off me after I float one right over the plate
>completely humiliated, since home runs are pretty rare at that age
>call timeout to remove myself from the game, break down and start crying
Never pitched again after that, and I pretty much hated baseball from that point on.
>tfw so middle of the pack/shit you dont have any stand out moments
In 8th grade I went into the game at receiver and we changed the snap count to "on 2" and I false started two consecutive times before the coach took me out of the game

>be 12-13 years old
>Playing 2nd base
>runner on first (kid who rode my bus, was an asshat)
>grounder comes to me
>The runner going to 2nd base swerves around my glove and I don't tag him
>so I throw it to second (I wasn't at 2nd when I got the ball) to make sure the kid was out
>i accidently hit the fatty
>lol
>missed out on a double play but then I told the ref that I didn't tag him
>the ref said he was out anyway
>I didn't know this
>I had been playing baseball for year and never knew it
>later, after the inning was over
>one of the "coach dads" came over and told me what I did wrong
>I said I knew what I did wrong but I never got to tell them how they didn't fucking teach the god damn rules
>didn't play 2nd base...my favorite position much more after that
Anyways, I still blame it on the coaches, it just irks me that I get blamed for a bad play but if the coaches had actually bothered to teach us the rules I would have easily had the double play

*playing baseball for years
>>76470639
It was a shitty soccer field next to a fucking barn. We were playing a team out in the country
>>76475193
I played baseball for years, but what the fuck are you saying

Fell out of my chair at a chess tournament and broke my wrist

Chess isn't a sport
a mile high pop up flyball hit my adam's apple during practice once
I wasn't able to play for a week
i was 12 playing football with some friends from my neighborhood and dribbled to be 1v1 against the gk
the gk was a kinda cute girl so i decided to shoot not so hard but she blocked my shot and everyone laughed at me
>played golf a bit growing up
>golf team lost their last player and they needed someone or else the team would be disbanded
>join the team for the hell of it
>first golf match
>I get chosen to lead off in front of both teams and about 50 spectators
>so nervous that I can't put the ball on the tee
>takes me like 3 minutes just to get a stupid golf ball on a stupid tee
>swing
>topped it, ball goes like 20 yards
>literally hear multiple people laughing
I fucking hated high school golf but at least it got me a Varsity letter
i got nutmeg'd as a keeper
>>76482772
>being a keeper
lmao fatty
>be kid
>be playing hockey in organized league
>opposing forward gets on a breakaway
>chase after him because I'm a defenceman
>he dekes the goalie but I lift his stick, puck slowly slides toward the goal line
>pick it up, start to skate away from the net when I suddenly backhand it into my own goal
>everyone in the arena is like dude wtf
I still don't really know what caught hold of me. It wasn't even like I got the urge to put the puck in the net for the satisfaction of it, some completely involuntary twitch reflex just shoveled it in
>12
>had played baseball every year since I was able to but couldn't make the higher league with the better players
>decided to make one last try at it before quitting and going to lacrosse which I preferred since it felt closer to hockey, the sport I was actually decent at and most of the kids who played in the winter were starting to play that instead of baseball
>practiced with my father a lot but he couldn't aim his pitches and he threw lefty into me as a left handed batter so he hit me at full speed multiple times every night
>became terrified of batting and don't even look at the ball because i'm used to getting hit
>at tryout missed every single pitch from the coach, even ones pitched underhanded
>was actually a really good pitcher but couldn't bat worth a shit
>never played baseball again until whiffleball with the lads where it was fun again
Lacrosse was lit though
i played hockey growing up and the richer city that lived next to us was our big rival, naturally. in high school,
i played varsity, but i wasnt very good, i was effectively the 7th d. when we played the rival school though, yhere was this one blonde kid who was basically perfect looking like a ken doll. in the first game my grandpa went to (he raised me) the perfect looking kid hit me in open ice so hard that i blacked it out. then i cried so hard that snot was coming
from my nose, my coach was even embarrased. fast forward a month or so, i come home from my friends house after sleeping over for a few days in the summer and the perfect blonde kid is getting head from my sister on the couch. they didnt notice me come in so i just quietly slunk up to my attic room and cried.
Played an entire little league season and never got a single hit

>be me
>usually a tall, stocky, fast and powerful striker with literally next to no technical ability other than a decent first touch and a satisfactory dribble
>join a new team in a different league to my previous
>this means theyve never seen me play
>im put at centre back despite my arguing
>my first game is against a team with some flair-y baller that im pre-warned about
>within 5 minutes theyve scored through my errors
>they press again, and its me against the skilful guy
>a stepover and a fake pass leaves my legs wide open and he nutmegs me
>icanrecover.jpeg
>my knees begin to falter
>i fall back head first and i feel a squelch on the back of my head
>dogshit.exe
they ended up playing me up front from then on and i dont know why
During PE some lads pulled my shorts down but because they were pretty tight, it ended up pulling my underwear down too so my small willy was exposed.
>>76468713
Ugh are you me?
>around 11 as well
>needed glasses or contacts but didn't have any
>couldn't really see the ball coming
>take a fastball to the face
>bleed everywhere and cry
>no one gives a fuck about concussions back then
>lay on the bench busted up and don't go to the doctor at all
>play final game of the season looking like a burn victim
>never play baseball again
But we won the championship so that's good
