He can pass on par with such creative midfielders as Pirlo or Xavi. He doesn't have to wait for crosses and chances, he creates them.

i think messi is a superior at what he does, and a singular talent.
however, there are multiple instances of him choking in big spots, like missing a penalty against Chelsea against the post in the CL semis in 2012, and missing penalties in the copa america.
