>JEAN MOTHERFUCKIN' SEGURA LOCKED DOWN EDITION
Wow, I can't wait for the Mariners to lose AGAIN!
mariners!
>Gallardo start
>>76398408
This keeps me up at night
You guys think Gallardo is finished when the other guys come back? or will they just toss him in the bullpen for mop up duty. dude has an ERA over 6 i think.
>>76398609
my biggest worry is they refuse to give up his spot because hes a high paid veteran
>>76398609
I'd say bullpen just in case the injury bug continues. I think he still has good stuff, he just can't control it consistently
Twins!
>>76398293
>just realized Ruiz is DH
>Gallardo

DINGERTOWN BABY
>>76400143
it sounds like a fun place
As a twins fan this is disappointing, but I guess it's better than 2 or 3 run shots
How much of the decision was the hair involved placing Motter and Gamel together in the lineup?
>>76400250
100%
>>76400208
It is. I went to the game last night lads. It was probably one of the best Mariners experiences I've ever been to, especially considering the team is under .500.They were killing the ball. I even got a BP ball .
>>76400250
only a little
>>76400377
I got to go to the 10-5 win against the Marlins where Ichiro hit his final safeco dinger
man, that was such a good game.
HERRRRRRRRRRRREDIA
GUILLERMO!
beautiful
>this would be a 40+ win team right now if they werent rekt by injuries
>>76400493
That sounds great. Baseball is just too awesome.
>>76400638
something always seems to go wrong for them
>>76400825
Saved. Thanks
>>76400876
I knew someone here would appreciate that one. I high fived her once on the concourse and she is really gorgeous in person. TV doesn't do her justice.
Keuchel out with illness? The Astros could lose two in a row? This could be a great day boys!
>>76401064
m's need all the help they can get to close the gap
JUST GET OUT OF THE INNING YOU FUCK
>>76400825
dem Muellers
I bet Jen was insane 15-20 years ago
I hate Gallardo.
>>76401131
I'm thinking that if his illness came on suddenly, hence the late game scratch, it's probably pretty serious. Maybe he'll miss two starts.
Damn you Mauer! I heard someone say yesterday that they though Mauer would make to the Hall of Fame. For as long as he's been playing, his total stats aren't that great, so there's no way unless the only stat they consider are AVG and OBP and even those are marginal for a hall of famer.
Damn you Sano. Get your shit together Gallardo
Why the fuck is Gallardo still on this team?
Every game Gallardo pitches well in the early parts of the game.
...Then he shits the bed and the M's can't recover
I hate Gallardo so fucking much
pls come back soon Felix and Kuma
maybe its still early enough to come back
>>76401600
Dubs of truth
A comeback is always possible with ZUNINO leading the way with his newfound skills and ability to detect balls from strikes with that expert walk.
Cano bomb to tie it up please
Good AB Rook
SEAG BLAST
SEAGER BELIEVER
What do you guys all think about today's arena news? The rapist mayor is shoving this thing through, even though it seems pretty obvious that AEG is perfectly fine with just making a concert arena and the city is falling for it, just so they can make a little bit of rent money. However, any prospective owner of a team would pay attention to all of the hate from the public towards that site and have reservations of having a team there.
At most, I'd probably only go to one or two games a year for NHL or NBA at Seattle Center. Why spend more time in traffic and looking for parking that actually attending the event?
Read 'The Cubs Way' and it talked about how the blueprint is to get 4 star players as the pillars of the team and then to fill the rest with reliable talent. It referred to Rizzo, Bryant, Russell, and Schwarber as the 4 core field guys.
M's have Cano. Segura's production puts him in that conversation. So thats 2.
Does Seager count as #3?
And is there anyone else on this team that fits that bill or do the M's still need another star piece to the puzzle?
Felix, Kuma, Paxton, Miranda make a good front 4 in the rotation and their have been some promising looks from Gaviglio and Bergman to expect to be fine at pitcher.
is it happening?
>>76403135
A few investing names have already come out in the aftermath to try to get an NHL team, so I think if the arena does go through, pro hockey is coming to Seattle.
Would prefer a SoDo stadium, but thats just me. I live in Tukwila and take the train into town for every game I go to, so the only real difference from a convenience standpoint is having to take the additional monorail ride to the Center.
>>76403181
There is this guy called Nelson Cruz
>>76403181
Haniger could be in the conversation for #4
>>76403181
seems about right. I felt like the idea was to build this team around felix, cano, and seags. Cruz might have been the 4th guy. It just hasn't panned out so far. Although with paxton and zunino showing promise there could still be some hope in finding the teams four pillars.
SMITH!
>>76403181
I would think Seager and Cruz would count. I believe Haniger or Gamel could develop into those as well. Maybe even the AWAKENED SLEEPER, ZUNINO?
>>76403269
I've started taking the Light Rail from UW to games and whenever I ride past the Westlake station, it is always jammed. I can't imagine what it would be like after a game with all of the people that have the same idea, along with the area regulars. That idea is going to be EXPOSED on the first night as a bad idea.
>>76403300
Theyve got Robbie for like 6 more years, Segura for 5, and Seager for another 4 (if my math is right on those.) Cruz's deal still only goes through next year, will be 37 next month, and is still only a DH in an every day sense. I wouldnt consider him one of the 'pillars' of the team moving forward, although he is a clearly valuable piece right now.
>>76403135
I think it's good. They have some legit names to go after an NHL team. Bruckheimer and Bonderman aren't memes. there's 3.5 billion between the two, and they both have leverage and friends in the NHL.
Sodo is obviously better, but Hansen committed the fatal error of not getting an NHL investor. It's been clear for years that the NHL would expand before the NBA.
I don't care who gets the teams, I just want winter sports. I'm more of a hockey guy anyway. Anyone who says they wouldn't want an NHL or an NBA team because of the arena location is a tremendous faggot.
>>76403439
I agree on wanting teams to watch in the winter. I just hate how short sighted the city is and it is essentially causing problems right from the start. It won't be surprising at all when the arena is only half full if the team is average or even above average. Or maybe they just expect all of the city transplants will fill that place every night and I'll have to eat crow.
>>76403181
Cano, Segura, Haniger, Kyle Lewis
>>76403430
most people feel that cano will hit the wall within the next 2-3 years. If we're lucky zunino could emerge by then and cano could be a nice filler piece to fill the rotation.
>>76403552
On the bright side, if we get the Coyotes, we'll have one of the best teams in the league by the time they relocate them and their endless pool of top prospects finally develop.
>>76403610
So, we'll be just like the Thunder were to us. It was definitely hard to see how good they were for so long.
>>76403573
Their two top hitting prospects are projected to be here in that time. The outfield is pretty young as it is. The biggest concern going forward is getting some pitching prospects up to the majors. I'm not worried about the hitting desu.
>>76403610
it'll also give arizona fans more fuel to hate seattle
>tfw Walker was traded for Segura AND Haniger
>>76403430
Damn only 1-2 more years of Cruz? I know he's old and a DH, AL allstar at that, but the man is aging like a fine wine.
>>76403552
I agree. anyone who thinks Queen Anne is a better option than Sodo is fucking nuts.
I'm assuming what OVG and the city will do to offset the traffic is create more bus routes and later lightrail trains to the Key, because I just don't see how they will alleviate car traffic. they'd have to demolish tons of condos and build three parking garages and it still won't fix it.
>>76403610
I am pretty damn sure we will get the Coyotes. they still don't have a stadium solution, and the minority owner is buying up all the shares. they remind me of a worse version of the Sonics arena troubles back in the 00's. it's a cheaper option than expansion and they can begin playing soon. If I was a betting man, I would say they will relocate to seattle after the 2018 season, play 1 season in the Key, and then play 2 seasons up at everett or hec ed while the Key gets remodeled.
COME ON LET'S FUCKING GO!!!
6 outs left, get a run or two boys let's go
>>76403811

Thanks Zunino!
.500 boys! The M's are creeping while the rest are sleeping!
goddamn I love walk offs
TY BASED Z
We .500 now
Could Mike Zunino actually be good now? Dare we imagine?
Back to .500. Really says a lot about how deep this team is that despite the issues they're where they are at.
Im sure his time in Tacoma is why hes doing so well lately, but can you believe there was a time that fucking Tuffy was considered the preferred option to Mike Z?
GG Twins
>>76404615
Do we finally have a solid catcher?
>>76404597
Only have 12 games to make up on Houston.
>>76404718
I've seen bigger comebacks start after the All-Star break. We have four months.
I just had a small realization. Does Zunino's new swing look like Manny Ramirez' swing to anyone else? Maybe it's just his back swing. That could be scary for the rest of the league.
Good game boys
>>76404960
I wish she would harass me...
