Why is it that home advantage is such a huge deal in the NBA? It makes sense in football for example cause every pitch is different but NBA courts are identical.

I don't believe in the home crowd meme if you're a professional athlete I don't seem how some retards chanting can make a difference.

Athletes in general are psychologically pretty weak and extremely superstitious. They get psyched out and can't focus/play as well as they do with a sufficient home crowd although its really only that relevant in teams with loud fans (Seattle Seahawks, Warriors due to bandwagoners, Nashville Preds)

Basically imagine when your mom yelled at you as a kid except there is a couple thousand of moms. Have you ever wondered why hecklers actually are able to mess with athletes?
