Anyone been experiencing intermittent BSOD's recently?

Only occurs on FM17, the screen flickers into illegibility then blurs and becomes unresponsive before blue screen. Only happens on this game, only in menus never in the game engine. Tried stress-tests and measuring temperature of GPU and its not that. Any advice?

No it doesn't make sense since the RGA will be hoofing it and dictating from deep, so another AP at least just in front of his is redundant. BBM/BWM, CM(A) or any other high activity roles that will benefit from the RGA would make more sense.

When I was playing a 4-3-3 I was playing it like this. My left side was the most attacking one because Jack Deal was a wonderkid far from his potential, so I put a WB(S) and DLP(S) behind him to give an option for him to backpass to while the right side benefit from the activity of the based RPM. I used a DM(D) even though it was a complete waste of Lima's abilities, he could've been easily a RGA, DLP(D) or stepped higher in the midfield... if he hadn't 10 Dribbling and 9 Flair.

That's a tangent to the first point. Play Out of Defence doesn't exactly match with Higher Tempo and More Direct Passing especially because there's no playmaking roles to take advantage of it. It would make more sense (and that doesn't mean that it would work) with something like a Regista or a DLP(D), but then you can always tell your keeper to hoof it at your playmaker and he does his thing instead of counting on SI's ME to be somewhat logical and think on the same level as you do.

Mentality and shape still need work. And the biggest thing that they need to add is a huge pop up box when you enter the tactics creator screaming: "THE FORMATION ON THE SCREEN IS THE DEFENSIVE FORMATION"

There's little way to know before playing that "Work Ball Into Box" actually also means "Cross Much Less Often". That playmaker roles attract the ball and TMs force hoofing even if your instructions say otherwise, which you wouldn't know unless you played for long enough to have experienced sliders and the ability to precisely tell FM which player you want the team to consider as a Playmaker or a TM. Which is beyond retarded. Barely any team in the universe defend with 7 outfields in the case of a 4-1-2-3 DM Wide unless they're trailing behind and the clock is ticking. To defend as a 4-1-4-1-0, or a 4-4-2-0 (like Atletico Madrid), you'd need to drop your players from the striker strata to the AMC strata, which deprives you from using the roles that are in the ST strata.

Yeah the biggest issue I have with the game is the formations. With mentality and shape I meant the way they are explained. I am still not 100% sure what mentality actually does 100%. I think it is the general tendency of a player to do something attacking minded. Some people call it risk but that is too vague for me. Pressing is extremely outdated. The wide positioning in defence especially this year is an utter joke, you cant create pressing triggers which teams like Atleti and Villarreal thrive on defensively so 442 is a complete waste of time for me.

Mentality is how aggressive and attacking a player is. A player with lower mentality will be more conservative and vice-versa. Mentality is obviously altered by the position of the player, his role, his duty and the shape of the team.

At the very least now we have actual definitions of attributes in FM (and not somewhere on the Internet). Which is why now we know why even with a decade of training Rushing Out doesn't change that much if at all: the attribute describes a tendency to Rush Out or not, not how well does a GK rushes out. Which confirms that a good SK in FM was generated a SK and cannot actually become a SK through training. At least now we know why.

Your AssMan will complain about the gap in your midfield even if it doesn't actually exist. Really. You'll also have more often a line of 3 in the midfield with a 4-3-1-2 instead of a triangle with a 4-4-2 Diamond.

Aside from that, mostly the roles you'll have access to and how they behave. For example, when compared to the CM strata, a DLP(D) in the DM strata will come deep to get the ball from the defenders and will tend to defend between the defenders. CMs tend to be caught with balls over their head while DMs tend to sit a bit deeper and further away. Neither are exactly better or worse by themselves, it's just the way it is.

In terms of average positioning, offensively and defensively, there isn't a world of difference between the two IME.

You could very well have a DLP(D) in the DM strata instead and have a BWM and a BBM next to each other. I would've used the CF on Support duty with "Moves into Channels" instead, and WBs instead of FBs. St/Co partnership with the defenders or two De duties, certainly not two stoppers unless you have Neuer between the sticks.

You need to make your left winger cut in or something as you have two players occupying the same attacking space on the left flank. Wing back is going to overlap a winger that is in the wide space 80% of the time. I'd want someone to pull space for him the instant the opportunity arises. Winger on attack only goes inside at the last possible moment.

Never because FM doesn't allow much flexibility when it comes to tactics and especially player positioning when the team has or hasn't got the ball (which, and regulars know I jeep repeating it, is possible in PES for instance). When you're past the "How the fuck could've I known that?" part of FM that I mentioned earlier, it isn't too hard to come up with tactics.

Finally a little off time this month. Started the third year of the Zenit save.
Don't buy anyone new, sell/loan a bunch of lads. Bench a couple dinosaurs and start a couple young bucks deserving a shot. Switched to 5-2-1-2 from a 4-1-2-1-3 and have been throwing up shut outs all over the place(Thanks Juve)

8 games in already have a 9 point lead in the league. + this kid is killing it.

I didn't see any Wolves matches this year, but he seems to be the 4th most utilised defender in the squad this season (21 starts, 1 sub which I realise is less than half, as I for some reason thought Wolves were in the Premier League), so that's not that bad for a young guy. Many managers seem extremely hesitant to use young defenders, and they will often be picked only if the first (older) choice is injured or suspended, or during a very hectic schedule.

This is division 6 in sweden, this one goes down to 7 but I already promoted once., named division 4 because the Swedish FA added some leagues in between later on. Someone made a really good expansion of the swedish pyramid, has all the logo's of all teams in it too. It's a genuine passion project which isn't rushed or half arsed like most data mods.. So I tried it out. I looked for a Danish one, couldn't find it. You guys need to start learning the editor so you can make that shit yourself.

The base game in sweden goes to 4th tier, I believe 3rd in Denmark, although I could be one league off.
