Over 85% of posters believe the janitors are doing a bad job.
Should a change be made?
http://www.strawpoll.me/10719881
This is a Hiro meta thread breaking no rules
>>76316680
>y/n question
not helpful w/o elaboration
soccer needs its own board, this is the overriding issue, imo
>Should a change be made?
Yes
Will there be?
Unlikely, mods are too autistic to let fun happen on one board.
Hiro is our only hope.
rules should be more relaxed desu senpai
REMOVE THE "T B H" FILTER
YOU RUINED WHAT WAS A GOOD MEME FOR LITERALLY NO REASON.
how are they doing a bad job? since i can't see what they're deleting how would i know? what should they be doing differently?
>>76316985
DESU
>>76316818
the problem isnt soccer its the lack of useful moderation. this was the same when they moved wwe to /asp/ and killed an entire board instead of doing their job. I mean just take today: no sticky for the cl final. result was several people making new game threads every 5 minutes flooding the entire board
>>76317014
for one, they need to stop deleting sports threads that aren't generals
a mod was confirmed to be pedo poster
I used to think /sp/ was like a sports bar where people came to either watch sports together or, whenever those weren't on, discuss current-goings on a more relaxed manner.
The "eventbowl" threads, for example, were almost always a blast because we treated those seemingly mundane events as something worthy of attention in good spirits.
Since the whole theme-enforcing janitor thing came to be, this place became kinda sterile.
>>76316985
desu senpai
Ban generals.
>>76316680
Tripfags and generals are whats killing /sp/.
>>76317238
Not surprising
>>76317280
Good post
/sp/ needs to return to its roots
>>76317171
i make threads that arent generals and they dont get deleted, you're probably posting non-sports related stuff
Ban generals, auto delete and ban anything with the word reddit in it, allow safe for work off topic and continue to delete not safe for work off topic.
yes, janitors are beyond shit and will continue to be shit.
if you think Hiro can save 4chan you know nothing about Hiro and his practices.
I have never seen a board kill fun as much as this, and it's fucking everything up.
One stickied perro caca thread a day Y/N
>>76318384
yes
First things first, no board splitting. /sp/ is already slow as all fuck without further breaking apart. I'd actually vote for deleting /asp/ and moving mandrama to /tv/.
>>76316680
Remove generals. It's fucking cancer upon this site. Back the fuck off, and stop over moderating. Fucking hell, typing BTFO will get deleted during game threads sometimes. How fucking serious do they take this job. Must be getting paid an awful lot. That was the moment, I came here only casually and almost exclusively during football season nowadays. Sometimes for baseball.
>>76320150
IMO generals are fine. They prevent a lot of shitposting and stuff. It's the mods deleting the actual shiposting threads that infuriates me. Let people have fun ffs. If a shitposting thread gets replies it's because people want to have that thread in /sp/
>>76318454
Im fueled with rage now
>>76318454
WHAT THE FUCK
>>76316680
wish our mods were as lax as the ones of /pol/, i barely come here anymore since the mods are literally worse than the stasi, it's impossible to get to know the people we share board with in any single way since everything gets deleted
they are even worse than the mods of /tv/ just picture that
>>76320705
I am scum, but the board should be moderated by people who actually know what the fuck it's about.
>>76316680
>tfw just vote yes over and over again for hours cuz bored lol
>>76316985
>filters t b h and f a m but won't filter "reddit" which is singlehandedly ruining all of 4chan
>>76320794
are you perhaps a redditor?
you should also know Tbh is not filtered
mods just need to allow for some more funposting
>>76320705
>literally being this mad because we call them on their bullshit
they really take doing it for free seriously
>>76320921
why would I be a redditor for wanting the word reddit banned you fucking retard? every time you mention the word you're actually shilling the site. not only that between that and autism it negates the possibility for any actual debate when you can just shitpost and call them a redditor and pretend you won the argument.
it's the worst kind of cancer.
Mods are supposed to delete CP and gore, not perro caca threads
lel
>>76318454
I never realized this before but they sound like lebit cucks
Mods do a questionable job and some decisions are absurd.
That said, some of you really need to go back to /b/ or r9k. Spamming porn daily is fucking retarded. Making the same Gerrard slipped thread every day 3 years after it happened is retarded. Creating new threads so you can shitpost under the guise of criticising the moderation is retarded. During any major event, literally anything happening results in a dozen low effort screenshot threads being made.
This shit needs to stop, and it's hard to blame the mods for being shit when the userbase is so shit.

Congress has about a 20 percent approval rating yet nearly all of them get voted in again every two years
>>76321211
>Making the same Slippy G thread is retarded
Fuck off livercuck
>blame users not mods
I'll only blame the users becuase there was a huge influx of reddit cancer around 2010-2012 (mostly due to the 2010 world cup) that ruined any culture this board had by asking for and getting generals and reporting anything off topic. So the obese Janitors and Mods gave us what people asked for.
Any board culture there was was completely killed. Game threads used to have a rare harmony of tripfags and anons that other boards couldn't ever have.
I'm going to go back a little on my prior statement, General's for non game threads/game days aren't the worst thing in the world. However some are just hubs of cancer like /hoc/.
I don't know why a "power rankings" thread gets deleted instantly but some virign can spam a game thread with walls of text and obvious bait questions and never have it removed.
>>76320705
If this is true then they clearly just want people who are rulesfags and have no understanding of board culture. Even leddit knows enough to have moderation that actually uses the subreddit.
only ban /int/ posting, gore and CP
everything else should stay. there I fixed /sp/
>>76324507
DEfine /int/posting
4chan used to be a place where you could say or post whatever except for cp. Now it's filled with mods that started out posting on reddit and don't understand any of our board cultures so they complain about everything to the point where we're literally a hugbox now just like them. I remember when somebody from reddit would get upset at us just posting reaction images to their stupid posts, but nowadays I've been banned for 1-3 days because of "spam" when I do it sometimes.
The time to make changes was 2014, it's too late and moot saw his unfixable mistakes so he sold his dumpster fire to a shady nip.
>>76316985

>>76318173

>>76317280
This BR fucking gets it.
Bro culture needs to come back. We will still talk about sports most of the time, but every now and then we will have a car chaseb owl or power rankings thread. We need to go back to the old times to differentiate this board from other, shittier sports forums
>no sticky for big sport events on /sp/orts board
Outlaw Pope I know you are out there.
We need you now more than ever.
>>76317280
>The "eventbowl" threads, for example, were almost always a blast because we treated those seemingly mundane events as something worthy of attention in good spirits.
Yep
Why would you become a janitor? sad cunts.
>>76317123
The flooding is part of the fun, stickies simply turn this place into a forum.
Pushing threads people don't post in is one of the key elements of how 4chan works compared to a forum.
I miss when we'd get hyped up for some irrelevant sporting competition as long as there's streams it was great fun. Where has the fun gone?
(inb4 Premier league)
>>76325722

>>76320705
One would think there is some sort of compensation involved for these people to do a task they dislike so much.
>>76320921
>rebbitor falseflagging
nice linebreaks, faggot
Why the FUCK was there no sticky for the CL final? That's like the biggest fuck up so far that I can think of - everyone will literally make too many game threads to compensate.
>>76326096
People made threads about a sport event, how terrible. We shouldn't have to make threads, we should have a sticky for every game, one for transfers, and even a couple more.
