As an aside your point that "gender is an artificial construct" is factually incorrect. Gender is a biological fact. pretty much every mammalian species outside of marsupials (some marsupials apparently can be both genders and are capable of self impregnation) are assigned a gender during gestation. From that point on your genetics take over and you're granted a body representative of that gender with a specific role in the breeding and survival of the species in mind.

Now if you mean "The concept of GENDER ROLES IN HUMAN SOCIETY is an artificial construct," we can have a bit more of a complex debate, atleast then your point would be debatable, rather than factually wrong. You's still be mostly wrong anyway, but that's a whole other discussion.

Again you're confusing biology with sociology. Biologically speaking there a HUGE differences between the construction of the male and female body, that leads to massive advantages for men over women in athletic endeavors. Look at the construction of the legs alone. Women's knees simply aren't as structurally stable as men's and generally don't survive as well in high impact activity. Move on to MUSCLE DENSITY. A square centimeter of male muscle has more cells in it then female, this means men with the same physical muscle size are STRONGER and HEAVIER than women. It's not a huge difference on the small scale, but when scaled up and combined with the effects of testosterone and other male hormones on muscle growth and it becomes a MUCH bigger difference in athletically active adults.

You can't make actual REAL biological differences vanish with political/sociological theory.

MuhGender Memes aside, You can't put an indiviual with male DNA , male characteristics, male muscular tissue to compete against females because it is injust and unfair.

You can tell them that as long as they do not consider themselves to have a specific gender as the X sports league is only meant for a specific gender, they cannot compete. And probably some political shiet like "A trans league creation is on discussion but sadly these things take time." is gonna end their mini story.

There have long been issues with intersex assigned-female athletes being potentially disqualified from women's sports, like Dora Rajten on the German team in 1936. (Sorry, Nazis, you're just as degenerate as the rest of us.)
