Was this trade an example of the NBA being scripted?

Remember when people thought those Nest would be championship contenders?
No, it's an example of teams being run by Billy King
>>76033676
lol I didn't realize they still have another first Rd pick after this year

If the NBA were scripted they would have nixed that trade for "basketball reasons".
The Nets are the worst run franchise in any sport, they're just simply fucking retarded and they don't understand how this league works
Its 2017. Why does Boston get New Jersey's pick this year?
Why da hell aren't those picks protected in some way
People only think this trade was bad because the nets suck right now and the pieces they got all left in free agency.
They were a solid 3rd-4th seed immediately after the trade happened, solidly contending and NOBODY could have predicted they would be this bad in 2017 at the time. Realistically they were trading 3 mid-rounds picks for the chance to be contenders for a couple years, it's not their fault PP and KG got old and left and the nets became horrible enough to make the picks look good.

Notice that that title says "Proposed Trade".
The actual trade included the option to swap the 2017 first-round pick.

Anon, the New York islanders are in the same fucking building and had some of the worst management in the early 2000's
Arizona is a hot mess as well for hockey, as owners come and go, and coaches die out

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were both already well past their primes when they were traded. This was a horrible trade then and it's still just as bad now. They traded away their future for a few old farts who only had a year to two left on their contracts.
2014 pick = James Young at #17
2016 pick = Jaylen Brown at #3
2017 pick = ??? Markelle Fultz at #1 ???
2018 pick = ???
The Celtics need at least 2/4 of those rookies to be really good otherwise the entire trade is just a wash.
Fans should have some kind of veto. Like if 95% of season ticket holders reject a trade its vetoed.
