long version: i used to have ana amazing roulette game. i never gave a shit about roulette, but in NY state 'table games' are illegal, so the only version they have are 'virtual' versions (i.e. RNG random number generator) video game versions.

everyone sets out to use a 'system' to beat the machine. i had a very good system; knowing full well that the game is skewed so that the house has advantage, and that over time, no matter what the house will always win. my specific system was to basically sustain whatever i started with, hit a streak and gtfo.

empire caught on to me one day as i would come in for 2 hours and make about $90 a day. i was up over $120 one afternoon, and suddenly two guys ceom from out of nowhere in regular shirts, not the casino vests. they stop the big roulette machine (the one with multiple consoles and the big 50" screen), they open up the center console and low and behold there was a laptop sitting in there. they tak tak tak away for a minute, close it back up and walk away without saying a word.

They have e-blackjack now (no real cards, just a video screen) but I think that one's rigged too. Certainly felt like I was doing much worse than when I've played at "real" casinos.

(Technically they aren't "slot machines" but "video lottery", which means the state gets a bigger cut and the odds are worse. And something like the winners are centrally predetermined...it's not totally clear.)

yeah the place is kinda dumpy, but it's about all there is as far as anything like it, there's the aqueduct over in queens, but i've never been there.

as for an eBlackjack, that's interesting. what's the max bet limit? it has to be horribly low. either way, the state legally has to post the odds on all their games, you can look up the RNG stats on most of the games, and after looking at really any of those, you will not want to play anything. for for BJ they must have a shit limit, like $100 or $200, most decent BJ players will rape a video game version. any other new games there? i haven't been there in a few years.
