So far it's cleveland because they have a title and more overall success.

Minnesota doesn't necessarily have to win a title to make the trade equal, but they will have to either keep wiggins as a franchise player who makes All-NBA teams or make like 5 straight WCF for it to balance.

Cleveland was likely winning a title without Love one way or another, but it's yet to be seen if MN will ever be good.

Most of the time when a star player is traded the return is a package of assets that don't end up turning out. Wiggin's trajectory looks to at least be a fine #2 to Towns. That's certainly a much better position than the Timberwolves would be in if they kept Love and tried to scrap together another hopeless run at the playoffs.

That being said, even if Wiggins somehow breaks out to his pre-draft stock, you do whatever you can to win a championship.
