Why do people watch women's tennis?

In women's tennis, there isn't as much consistency as in men's tennis. The result of this that upsets happen more often, sometimes in hilarious fashion.

Genuinely prefer women's tennis to men, even if you take out the fact that they are hot and wearing short skirts.

Men's tennis is too strength based, the best guys are just able to power through most matches, while women's tennis, at least matches not involving the Gorilliams sisters, seems more finesse based, and it makes for more watchable tennis.

Good point, but women's tennis lacks the agility and speed men's tennis has. Due to the sheer athleticism paired with the much higher skill level of men's tennis you sometimes get some incredible rallies and points. Men also tend to have much further reach.

But yes, men's tennis can be very boring when it's just two servebots battling it out. Also the first rounds of Grand Slams are quite boring having to watch a clearly better player play three sets and dominating.

Women don't have more finesse, if anything they play sloppy and poor much more so than male tennis players. If you are talking about the top level professionals, it's not even close, the female professionals looks amateurs compared to males.

Your idea of "power" is kinda funny though, considering female tennis is entirely dominated by stamina which is why they had to introduce the less set rule.

I dont know if thats true. A lot of women are just as skilled as the top mens players and vice versa.
The reason women would never win against men isnt because they arent good at the sport, its because they just cant compete with the athleticism.
To make a comparison to a different sport, when some under 17 team beat the US womens national team in a scrimmage the boys coach made a point in saying the women absolutely schooled his team when it came to skill, but the extreme physical advantage boys have was just insurmountable to even professional women in a match setting.
