Faceoffs, and the one used depends on where play previously ended or the circumstances of play previously ending. The other four dots in the neutral zone (between the blue lines) are also for faceoffs.

Also, the players on the ice other than the two taking the faceoff have to line up for the faceoff with their skates outside the circle surrounding each faceoff dot, but it's not a strictly enforced rule, so players edge in as the linesman drops the puck for the faceoff.

Those are fast food distributors you can use during the game. Sometimes a player come crashing into it or a customer, killing him. The match is then interrupted and a fight between the 2 strongest men of each team in which someone is killed determines the winner, the captain will then throw the loser's head into the opponent's net.

This is why faggy euros don't venture into the manly sport.

They are called "Schrödinger's circles".
As nobody can see the puck in hockey, it is assumed that the puck has a 1/5th probability of being in one of the circles, and 4/5th probabilities of not being there.
But as nobody can really see the puck, it is always assumed that there is 1/5th of the puck in each circle at the same time.
Now each team is 5 players, so it makes 10 players total. If 1 or more of them convince the others he has seen a trace of the puck in 1 of these circles, the ref will validate and get the match here.
So they can all pretend there is a puck somewhere until a player sees a trace of the puck in another circle, and so on.
