COfag here. Fast starts have been a trend for about the last decade, so being good in April is pretty normal. From what I can tell though the major weaknesses from the past few seasons (primarily the bullpen) have improved a lot and the Rockies are usually regressing to about ~.450 ball by now, but so far they're maintaining their current form even with guys like Arenado and Story kind of slumping.
