In 1 season, you can't objectively make more than ~25 players play regularly with your premier team. But you also want to sign very good talents, and have them play, preferably with good teams. So you loan.
Juventus went a bit overboard here tho.

It means that you can get signed to a very big club but still get playing time regular to develop even because they have very good players. In NFL for example Jimmy G gets also no real practice because he's stuck behind Brady where as If I play for Madrid and go out on loan I can have a full season to develop while still being apart of Madrid

It's about management. You loan a player when he is a valuable asset to you but:

>you can't fit him on your roster because of reasons (usually better players)

>your player is underdeveloped (coming from U-somethings) or on a recovery road

>you get an offer from a club which wants your player but have not enough money to buy him

So, when a club gets an athlete on a loan, that club pays a (the whole) part of the salary but cannot sell or trade him, only return him back to his "owner" club
