They literally pay a storage service in Seattle to keep the banners and trophy locked up. Also, the Thunder technically own the Sonics colors and uniforms. Furthermore, they also have all the retired Sonics numbers, like Spencer Haywood's 24, still in effect.

They tried to get Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton to come to Thunder games early on too and both of them told the Thunder to fuck off.
