Kroos is a better option for a team.

Verratti gets injured a lot. I don't think Kroos has missed a single game for Real since he signed with them.

They don't play the same position and Marco is younger, but as players I think are of a similar overall level I'd take the one who can play over the one who misses a bunch of games every year.

who would be the better investment idk. verratti's younger but kroos makes more immediate contributions to goals. if soccer had sabermetric-like stats, kroos might have a lower overall statistical value given how shitty his defending is.

Verratti does better passes, got a better ball control and vision, he's also younger.
But he's less experimented and do mistakes in marking when playing against aggressive offenses, commit way more fouls and get stupid Yellow cards for complaining, he also hesitates too much to shoot on target, in the PK area he will try to make a pass whereas Kroos will shoot.

I will say that Verratti got way more potential than Kroos but you got to have a good coach and teach him to handle pressure be more disciplined.

Veratti > Fabregas > Kroos > Modric > Pogba
