I think he's happy with where he's at right now. He successfully turned an absolute joke of a club into a half-decent team, he's getting tons of praise, even if he fails to win the league with Spurs he's established himself as a very good manager and will have a job waiting for him whenever he decides to leave.

You can't really begrudge the man for finishing 2nd when he's competing against 5 other teams with far greater resources than those at his disposal.

You're far more likely to lose the success you already have by getting rid of Pochettino at this stage than you are to go up a level with a new manager.

Success is relative. It means different things to different teams. Avoiding relegation from the Premier League, for example, constitutes success for a club like Bournemouth. You might not understand this as a bandwagoning foreigner who only follows the big clubs in Europe, but it's not logical for every club to sack the manager for failing to win the league.

Tottenham aren't really a big club. They've won something like 2 trophies in the last 20 years, and those weren't particularly prestigious trophies at that. They haven't won a league title since 1961. Champions League football is still very new to them. Most of their recent history has been consumed with attempts to break into the top 4 at the expense of wealthier teams.

For Tottenham Hotspur, being able to challenge for the title is success. Anyone who denies this is a bandwagoning moron who doesn't know what they're talking about.

And losing the title to Leicester was a failure for damn near everyone in the league last year. But it was also a fluke, the kind of fortuitous run that can only happen once every few decades.
