Both, the cavs are really good but the east is a fuckin joke.

Cavs would still be a top 2 team in the West, although the playoffs would be far more dangerous and they wouldn't be guaranteed conference finals let alone nba finals.

The east pretty much guarantees the finals.

However it's to be noted that the reason lots of players aren't in the east isn't because "they enjoy competition", it's in part because they don't want to be in the same playoff bracket as Lebron.

If the Warriors maintain their roster you're going to see a lot of stars that were in the west migrate to the East Teams if the warriors can lock down their squad for the rest of their primes.

This unironically. That's why George and Lowry want to go to the west so much, to avoid Lebron in the playoffs. I was also surprised when Melo re-signed with the Knicks but he's pretty much the Jay Cutler of the NBA at this point.
