It already has the euro league which is very similar to champions league but of course Europe isn't the dominate power in basketball so it lacks the prestige. The nba teams could always try and get involved in that but don't think the teams would be happy with the extra wear and tear put on there players for the amount of money involved. Finally as seen by the McDonald's cup from 85-99 the u.s teams would likely dominate the tournament reducing fan interest.

FIBA rules noticeably make it more difficult for US players.

European teams aren't on the same level as nba ones yet. Maybe in 20 or 30 years you'll see it happen though

Unless the NBA creates a European division it won't happen.There is not enough interest in Europe for basketball and Euro teams can't compete financially against American teams.But if Americans ever put a Euro division in the NBA I am pretty sure Euro teams would dominate.American franchises are run like shit
