GGG has severely underrated defense and excellent counter punching ability as exhibited in the Monroe and Lemieux fights. He moves his head more than you think, everyone is too keen to point out the big shots that land on him (which do nothing to him, if we're being honest), that you end up ignoring the subtleties.

As for him being slow, not every elite fighter has to have fast feet to get by. As long as you have a better understanding of range and timing than your opponent, then you can somewhat diminish the speed advantage.

G 's footwork is very efficient and wastes no energy. He gives up no ground and has some of the best ring cutting ability in boxing, something that Canelo lacks. His balance is also some of the best I've seen too.
