Kershaw has been taken out of games this season with only 90 pitches, but now is left in with 98 pitches?

Now this Kersh game turned to shit. I don't understand what Roberts is thinking. On opening day, Kershaw understandably got taken out on 84 pitches through 7. This was due to a blow out. Then against the Giants he was taken out after only 90 pitches even though he had only given up 1 run through 7. Now he lets Kershaw go after 98 pitches through 7 even with the Dodgers up 5.
