Not really since clubs there are now ownership of big money coming from arabs or China that have no problem overpaying. It's starting to become the same in France (Psg was the first one) and the league will eventually catch up but not now.

I find it funny how the top 3 teams this year are all from the bougie parts of France now (1 in Paris and 2 in the South of France, 1 being in Monaco)

Also, Monaco/PSG/Nice can probably hang with any 3 teams in EPL this year
