He wasn't a rightback against Monaco though, it was a classic 3CBs BBC setup with Alves as wingback to counter Monaco's 4-4-2. Obviously none of us have Allegri's tactical insight to determine whether using 3-4-2-1 again (since Real's 4-3-3 is basically Benzeshit as false 9 and CR7 as poacher), or sticking to 4-2-3-1 that completely eliminated Barcelona both in Turin and at Camp Nou would be better option. But consider this - Barzagli's only weakness is pace, and yet he didn't have problems dealing with Falcao or Mbappe who kept switching positions thanks to his experience and positioning. CR7 these days isn't much faster than Falcao and definitely less mobile than Mbappe, so I'd use Barzagli in back 3 again. Bonucci and Chiellini don't need to be discussed, should easily cover Benzeshit and their right wing (Isco, Vasquez, or Bale if he's fit). 4-2-3-1 with Alves as RB was preferable against Barcelona because he had years of experience playing for them and knew how to mark Nerman. And as we've seen on Wednesday, he's much more lethal with more offensive duties when there's Barzagli as additional CB behind him.

Sanchez fits into all formations Allegri has been using lately as a second striker, left winger or attacking midfielder, and Tolisso as Khedira's replacement. Backup and rotation at first, gradually becomming the first choice by the end of next season.

Cuadrado definitely expolosive, much quicker and more agile than Alves I'd say. For a league fixture or as a substitution (like you said) when there's nothing going on offensively he's great, but fielding him as a starter in CL Final is a huge risk. It could work out, but when the pressure gets to him a pacey winger like that is virtually useless. Barzagli and Alves on the other hand have infinite experience on all stages. And mental strenght is far more crucial than speed or even technique in matches like that.
