The Lions draft as a whole was underwhelming and filled with headscratchers but Kaaya's pick, regardless if it was second to last, really just makes wonder what the fuck was going on in Quinn's head. It's one thing to draft a qb, it's another to draft an obviously bad qb, especially when Quinn gave the impression he knows what he's doing when it comes to drafting players

Not that Zeke isn't great, but people really overcredit him and undercredit Dak for why the Cowboys offense worked so well.

The primary strength of the Cowboys O-line is run blocking. Zeke gets more help there than Dak. They're just "good" but not "great" at pass protection because Doug Free gives up a lot of pressure on the right side.

Both Zeke and Dak feed off each other, but Dak was always the one who had to initially kickstart the offense when it was sluggish, and then Zeke would follow after teams had to play the pass more.

Zeke struggled in his first two games while Dak had the offense on his shoulders, and eventually teams couldn't just completely ignore the passing game.

In the Ravens game, the Cowboys couldn't get anything going on the ground until Dak started killing them through the air. The first two drives the Cowboys scored, they literally didn't even call a single running play

Dak sparked the offense vs GB in the playoffs.

Zeke would not have had the same success without a competent QB like Dak who CAN punish a defense for stacking the box. Stick Moore or Sanchez under center instead of Dak, and Zeke doesn't ever come close to breaking the rookie rushing record.
>>
I'm still wondering how Dak got exposed.

Dallas plays the most simple-minded, college style offense in the league. The fact that they won 13 games with it says a lot about Dak.
>>
>>75620125

>>75620158
What are you on about? It's a more old-school NFL system. Zeke and the o-line break down the opposing defensive line by the second/third quarter and Dak, who rarely makes errant, high risk passes punishes them with a very good receiving core when they have to stack the box more. And Zeke has better stamina, breaking them down and rushing better later in the game.

It's not on tax payer dime though. Football pays for itself at just about every D1 institution including the service academies through sales and TV contracts. The taxpayer dime is wasted on all the other students and cadets who are going there taking bullshit courses and earning degrees they'll never use. In fact those other kids waste taxpayer and football money since money made by the football team typically gets siphoned up by the school and redistributed.

Stop crying about these faggot officers. There's a 99% chance they'll be allowed to play when big Air Force gets involved because the Air Force doesn't care about actually doing their jobs. Shit happens all the time

What's going to happen exactly is ONE of those guys is going to ask for a waiver and the Air Force is going to restructure his contract so he can either A) defer his active duty service to a later time, or B) be admitted to a reserve/guard component where he can fulfill his service while continuing a civilian career

The problem with invading North Korea is simply that their population is absolutely brainwashed, and occupying them could even be more difficult than occupying Iraq.

In WW2, we could drop 2 nukes on the nips to pacify them. We can't use that same kind extreme force on the North Koreans nowadays, and anything beyond strictly killing combatants would be seen as crossing the line.

Until there is finally some internal resistance to Kim in NK, liberating them is just too complicated and impractical. If Kim told his entire country to commit Sudoku to avoid occupation, they'd probably do it.

North Korea is probably the one country where voter support for an invasion wouldn't be much of a problem. The vast majority of people would fully support it if they could do it relatively effectively with minimal civilian casualties.

It's not like Syria where some people would take issue with a full blown invasion.

China wouldn't back a US invasion if we tried to unload all the cleanup duty on them. They'd might be okay with it as long as the two could partition the country so that China still has a buffer, and the US helps pay for the costly effort of bringing the country up to an acceptable level of functionality.

Post bold predictions
1) The Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys all finish 11-5. The Falcons and Panthers finish 11-5 as well. Because of this the Cowboys miss the playoffs at 11-5.
2) The Detoilet Lions regress significantly and finish 6-10.
3) The NFC West is atrocious with the 9ers and Rams both finishing 2-14, Cards finishing 6-10, and Seattle finishing 8-8.
4) Blake Bortles has a bounce back meme season as the Jags finish 9-7 to barely make the playoffs.
5) To everyone's surprise, the Bengals trade Dalton in the beginning of the season.
6) The Dolphins regress significantly as well finishing 6-10.
7) Watson busts hard and leads the Texans to the bottom of the division.
8) The Chargers lose a lot of money and almost go bankrupt. By the end of the season they are on the brink of being bought out and shipped to London.
9) Browns win 6 games.
10) Patriots go 16-0 only to lose to the Raiders round 2.

The northern terrain of NK makes it difficult to traverse and is a good natural border, I imagine in the partition much of the north and west would go to China and the south goes to SK and the coast would be greatly disputed. The US would fund the cost of buffing up the new SK land and plant a few bases up there but a much larger DMZ will be created.

It would be hilarious to watch the browns draft the entire first round and have nothing to show for it in 4 years.

it's been 16 years out of 87 that they've existed and have been blocked by the Packers for most of that period. give it time.

There will be a point where his body just can't take the hits anymore well before then. It's amazing that he's gone as long as he has without the constant injury problems starting up.

So if their teams were worse they'd be more competitive?

hmmmmm

It was pretty bad but nothing close to the suck that was Matt Millen. I still get fucking pissed when I see him doing commentary on college games. That retard shouldn't be allowed within a mile of anything football related. He did one good thing and drafted Calvin but that was after what like 4 first round wideouts that were completely worthless?

Matt Millen should have stayed at the Lions forever.

yes, competitive doesn't mean good. Replace the Patriots with the Jags and AFC East becomes worse but more competitive

What's even more disturbing is that Payton is heavily involved in personnel decisions. That a supposed offensive guru would fall for such an obvious meme is extremely concerning.

I had the autism to do this once in one of the NBA 2k games. AI Teams would stupidly undervalue future draft picks when you made trades during the draft, so I could get to the point where I owned every single 1st round pick in the draft, draft the couple of players that I wanted, then trade every other pick for futures picks and have the best players every year.
