Shhhhh, they might show up.
I think the AL East might have the worst fans to game thread with, excluding the Yankees who have the comfiest game threads on /sp/
When the Jays were doing well they were setting shit posting records. The Ducks fans have been insufferable since the Showalter era began and the Red Sox game threads from the last series were almost unreadable. Sox fans are the weirdest, like they weren't even shit posting in the classical sense, half of their posts just made no sense.
Honorable mentions go to both the Doyers and Gints, those threads are always a mess. And to the Tardinals when their team is doing well. I never thought a group of posters could be worse than the Jays but the last time they played the Yankees those threads should be considered a war crime.
>>75588650
I almost agree with the assessment but the silver kite fans are the comfiest.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing when your DH and First baseman aren't batting .190 at the top of the order
>>75589048
It helps not having two players well passed their prime and batting sub .200 in the middle of your lineup
Will Joseph get his first career RBI today?
>>75589048
That's because they don't have A Rod and Texiera, aka The Black Hole of Suck, in the middle of the lineup killing every rally.
Plus Gardner and Ellsbury are hitting this season. People always forget that Castro is just 26 years old too, he's still got room to improve and he seems to be taking those steps forward.
Once Bird gets on track and Sanchez returns from injury this will be the best batting order 1-9 in all of baseball.
>adam chimpout jones
>>75589048
ARod and Tex no longer destroying the offense
Some like Castro are overachieving right now
Overall, the offense seems more lively this year.
Probably helps when you don't have 2 players in the middle of your lineup complete cucking the shit out of your offense.

Feels good man. But Yanks/Sawks threads is the king of MLB shitposting, nothing is going to change that. Baltipoors are just eternally butthurt. Rasy don't have a presence really and I'm pretty sure that there is more talk about the Trop being destroyed or when they will move than any real banter of the team (although that had that Rasy Rally Cat a few season back that was weird).
>aaron big gigganigga judge

>castro hasnt slumped yet like he did last year
>headley is way overperforming at this point compared to last year
>judge is in the lineup
and on the flip side
>sanchez is missing
>bird is shit
Even if Headley and Castro regress, Bird has better stuff and Sanchez is returning.
Also what's good, Torreyes and Romine are great players even on bench, and Didi has been great since coming back.
The pitching just needs to hold up and the Yanks will take the division.

Castro and Headly will not regress much. They both put a lot of work in during the offseason to get better at the plate. Headly and the hitting coach went over the tape of his best season, the one where he hit 40 dingers, all offseason to try and get him where he wants to be. Castro is only 26 and for the past five years has been a fantastic "pure hitter". Now he's older, stronger and has that short porch to aim home runs at, if he had a break out season i wouldn't be shocked.
Cashman is really REALLY good at building a team. I don't think these guys are over performing so much as they have been under-performing the last few years.

I don't even know why it's considered micro management. Girardi sticks to very basic formulas.
>lefties vs lefties, righties vs righties
>batting order should alternate between left and right hitters to make managers use as many relief pitchers as possible in later innings
>if a fat slow old guy is on base late in the game, put a fast guy on instead
>Steal bases
>One guy consistently pitches the 7th inning, one the 8th and one the 9th. Pitchers love consistency
He's also one of the founders of the specialist pitchers out of the bullpen mentality that all of baseball is using now. His methods are not unorthodox in any way shape or form. The binder thing is more meme than fact.

In the past SIX years the Patriots haven't won less than 12 games.
They've been to 9 AFC Championship games and 6 Superbowls.
They have made the playoffs each of the last 16 seasons, except one.
No coach in history has ever done things like that. And it's all during what is supposed to be the most competitive era of football.
JUDGED

>>75589922
His micromanagement comes from his tendency to freak out when the bullpen is struggling late in close games. This leads to him to overusing Betances every year.

The division is shit because the other teams are constantly under the gun to compete with the best NFL team ever assembled. They each have a revolving door of coaches and QB, there's no consistency.
As for the entire AFC being trash, as the other poster mentioned they've won 11 of the last 17 Owls. Not only that but the Pats have had to go through at least one first ballot Hall of Fame QB most seasons, who have each won 2 Owls in that 17 year time frame as well. The NFC is just won by some random team that gets hot at the right time then doesn't make the playoffs the next season.
Just stop dude. I'm sorry you're mad at the Pats but these attempts to undersell them make you look like a bitter retard. What the fuck are you going to do when the Pats win it again this season? There isn't a single team in the NFL that can compete with them at this point.

Holy fuck, your level of butthurt at the Pats is out of control. It's not going "too far in the past" you mong, it's relevant because that's how long Brady and Bill have been together in NE. Like the other poster said too, if you want to go more recent than the AFC has won the last 3 in a row, retard.
The Giants haven't been to the playoffs in 7 years but for some reason that's not too far into the past to "disapprove" your point?
The most consistent team over that 17 year timespan in the NFC would be those same Giants, as they're the only team with multiple Owl wins. All the big heavy weights in your shit conference; Green Bay, Seattle have won only a single Superbowl. Meanwhile, Brady and the Pats have won FIVE, Peyton Manning-lead teams have won 2 and Roethlisberger's Steelers have won 2.
There isn't a single metric that shows the NFC is better in any way than the AFC. Stop being an insufferable homer fanboy and look at the numbers.
So I'm really nervous that the Yanks are gonna suck ass against the Jays. They have no reason to, but with the Jays having the Yanks number for the past couple seasons, I'm nervous.

I disapprove of your posts.

Well coached teams don't fall for traps. I have faith the Yankees will be fine. Some nice easy wins to pad the division lead!
>>75592275
>said that they didn't go to the playoffs in 7 years, but they did last year and were the 2011-12 champs
>still didn't disapprove my point
AFCfag pls go and stay go. You are only showing your butthurt here.
WOOOOOOOOO
DIDI IS ELITE
Didi coming back into the lineup without a hiccup so far has been more than you could ask for

Baltimore fans should just kill themselves desu
>>75592288
>that feel when it was ball as fucking that series
>playing the same team again 2-3 weeks later and it's fucking summer outside
We're not going to get regular spring weather longer for a month again, we are?
>you now remember the 1-4 Yankees
>>75592483

Holy shit betamore just forfeit the series
>>75592516
>only lost 3 games since
>daily reminder judge can continue this pace all season and writers will still give roy to benintendi
Judge confirmed for 100+ homers this year
all the Baltimore shitposters have just disappeared when the yankees started anally violating them
what did they mean by this?
>yfw our 6'8" monster is a five tool player for some reason.
>>75591330
yeah i like the first pick, just not the fact that they grabbed two safety's in a row
>>75592587
Like last night
>>75592587
They'll soon be back, and in greater numbers...
Weird seeing this team hits dingers after the anemic power for most of last year.
>>75592587
why does everyone always think the losing team's fans leave.
every fucking thread
honestly this game is getting boring
>>75592556
>be surprised of the BBWAA's bias against the Yanks
After shafting CC for Verlander in the early 10s, I wouldn't be surprised.
>>75591057
how good is our o-line this year? i think thats the key for how well any of our QB's do
>>75592616
For the first 3 innings tomorrow while it's still a close game.
>>75592588
>dat feel he will probably be the GOAT MLB tall player if he keeps progressing like this and stay healthy.
I want this to happen so badly.
>>75592653
because they do, Tyrone.
don't you have a gas station to rob? the >orange ducks have already lost famalam
>>75592669
wasn't that great last season. I didn't watch the draft cause of this game today but we did lose mangold
>>75592747
yeah thats what i was afraid of. i kinda wanted them to focus on o-line because they draft defense every year. i like the additions of WR and TE but idk how well theyll do if our o-line cant protect the sub-par QB for more than 3 seconds
>>75592630
They simply got younger. Vets are a necessary piece but the FO was getting way too many of them who clearly went past their sell-by date, plus years of injuries caught up with Tex and A-Rod.
>>75592795
exactly and nobody knows what will become of christian if he isn't protected. then we'll claim he sucks without knowing what he'll do. like I can see them destroying dak prescott if they had him. it's worrisome
>>75593006
Looks like a worksafe cover for a gay porno.
