Just started playing Motorsport Manager on my phone and now I'm fucking addicted.

I've a few questions :
- What's best when you're stuck behind a driver? Telling them driver to be more aggressive to pass him or telling him and to save tyres?
- Is it me or is there a massive difference between tyre usage in the two modes I've described while at the same time having barely a difference in laptime. My drivers are in "conservative" for 80% of the race.
- Should I keep my shitty drivers or invest in new young ones with a driver programme?
- What should I improve first? Aero or mechanical?

Also the game is a bit scripted, isn't it? I was massively off my objective in the first race but totally bossed the last one.

Rear wing has louvres at top from Toro Rosso, lots of slots in the bottom like McLaren. Bretty sure your pic is an older model (has 2016 tyres and suspension for instance)

They also have this nose/fw, but i can't tell for sure if it's newer or older than the model with the sharkfin—at that point they knew they had to get the crashtesting done asap so probably would've gone with the rounded nose similar to last year's Haas, since it's easier to crashtest. it looks nice though, similar to Toro Rosso and McLaren again. The turning vanes for the sidepod look nice, if a bit simple, on the newer model, and the front wing endplates look very good imho. Had they survived, I predict they'd be quicker (relatively speaking) than last year, probably ahead of Sauber by this point and maybe McLaren too.

Inwash wings use the endplate to reduce the tyres influence on the front wing.
It basically gives the air from the front wing a nice clean exit, instead of hitting the turbulence from the tyre, which helps scavenge air from the wing, increasing it's efficiency.

Outwash wings use the endplate to attempt to blow the tyre wake away from the car, so it doesn't influence airflow further down the car.

The problem is, inwash front wings were only effective in the pre-09 era, when front wings were narrow, so aerodynamicists had no choice but to inwash as the tyres were too far to outwash.

In the post-08 era, using the endplates to channel air to the outside of the tyres is far more efficient, as you can obtain a healthy amount of inwash with the front wingtips and cascade elements, freeing up the endplates for outwash. With the endplates now being further away from the car's centreline, this means trying to inwash with the endplate directs air AT the tyre, rather than around it, unless you want to make the endplate literally half of the front wing, causing a huge reduction in front downforce and a huge increase in front drag because of the angle of attack required.
