I don't know too much about the kid but he's pretty big and has good hands and went to the same college as Eli, it would be nice to get Mark Bavaro 2.0. We'll see. I hope they pick nothing but linemen for the rest of the draft and pray they get some good ones.

A lot of the positions available either didn't fit, were already filled, or the player was too much of a risk. Quinn played his hand well in the first round. Some question why he didn't draft Foster but most can clearly see that his shoulders made him an uncertainty

Not quite sure anymore.

>on one hand we drafted a guy who only started 13 games
>on the other hand he sat behind a QB who excelled in college and he didn't fit into the system at that time and can sit before playing if need be
>on one hand we traded up ONE spot to get him and the 49ers probably weren't going to go for him
>on the other hand 6 teams were trying to trade up for #2 and the picks we gave up weren't god awful as we still have a 4th round pick

Was very pissed at first. Now I'm mixed. He's gonna be our quarterback so I gotta hope he does well.

Pretty much exactly how I feel. He only played 13 games, but was good in most of them. Now we can see how he progresses with more experience. We moved up to the #2 pick and didn't have to give up a 2nd 1st rounder or any 2nds for it, but it was only 1 spot. If he ends up being good, it's a great trade. If he busts, at least we didn't set ourselves back much in next years draft.

>>
>>75552777

It was a bizarre trade to be sure. But go through the list of Superbowl winners since TB in 2002. And you can debate all you want about if Flacco is leet or not, it's clear only teams with really great QBs can seriously contend. (Someone mentioned the Broncos in another thread and I laughed, but Manning certainly had the experience to run an offense even if he physically sucked, and the NFL cheats pretty openly for Denver anyway). So what if the kid turns out to be good? What else matters?

In the age of parity you need a great coach or a great QB. If you have either then you can start thinking about the rest of the team. I don't follow college and guess that's where a lot of the lols are coming from. We'll see. I love Jimmy G too, but hell, maybe teams just don't want to trade with the Pats for fear they'll make them better.

I don't know. Just keep that in mind - everyone's a genius but yet the same 5 or 6 teams compete for the Superbowl every year it seems. What winning formula is meant to be followed? Look at the Pats roster for the Superbowl. 6th rounders. 7th rounders. Undrafted. Only a couple of late 1st rounders on the entire roster.

I don't know. Just saying.

Trading down for an extra pick is a good thing seeing how the Bills addressed what I assume is a need. I assume it's a need because your star 26-year-old pro-bowl CB is now on your division rivals, who just won the Superbowl.

So, sure. Good job maybe (big fucking maybe) replacing the guy you just lost. But that pick isn't going to help you next year. Which sucks for a team that missed the playoffs by a full 4 wins.

That was the whole thing with Butler and the Pats. If we lost him and gained Gilmore it might have been a slight improvement (not saying it is, just for sake of argument), but that means we would have lost both our starting CBs and replaced only 1, but got the 32nd pick back - with almost no chance that pick (if a CB) would play as well as Butler will in 2017.

See what I'm saying? I didn't want that, and we're the champs. You guys suck and you're acting like this is a good thing. Losing Gilmore and drafting that CB, your team, which already sucks, got worse.

Again, bright side is the extra pick and I'm not writing that off, but when the Pats trade down or out for future picks, they already have a great roster.

Keep smiling if you want but why didn't they just sign fucking Gilmore and fill some other huge need on the roster with as high as a pick as they could?

But I guess Buff fans know best.

Assuming Conley's innocent (and it looks like he is because he passed a polygraph and he has multiple witnesses confirming his account of the story), great pickup. He can give the Raiders nickle depth they didn't have last year, and if he gets even better, he can become their #1 cover man down the road. On top of that, the Chiefs fucked their future up the ass.

Tough to say. Brissett is mostly unproven and wouldn't fetch anywhere near the trading potential of Jimmy, who was seriously being considered for a first round pick. At first, you felt disappointment and possibly anger. But now you're feeling hopeful and optimistic.

Do not trust these feelings. All that lies ahead of you is pain and suffering. Embrace the fact that your front office are morons and they have fucked your team for the next 5 years. Try not to cry to much when the other teams in your division go on to great success while your team sinks deeper into irrelevance. After all, there's always next year's draft.
