I highlighted JFK/Umass station in Red there - it's a Red Line connection that leads up to South Station (the main Commuter rail hub for South of the city) and Park Street (the "Main" station although it's old and kind of shitty). I have no idea why the exact same station is copy/pasted right below it, there's a kind of shitty looking bank/warehouse building there right now.

The blue circle is Kosciuszko Circle, which was the big NIMBY "we can't put a stadium here and ruin the traffic" location people were complaining about. At this point, I don't even know what's going to happen with that land - supposedly UMass Boston wants to build it out themselves, but there's a huge scandal going on right now because they overspend on other buildings and have a ton of debt. Montreal and Philly both have put a ton of money into their academies in recent years, but it hasn't gotten them shit. There's more than one way to build out a roster, and I'm bugged about the Revs' depth, but it doesn't mean we have a 'worse' academy than any of the teams you mentioned.

I think you're projecting SJ's issues onto the Revs (which isn't really 100% unfair considering they've faced a lot of the same issues in the last 10 years). Scouting's going to be a problem for a while - as of last November we didn't have any dedicated scouts outside of the coaching staff, which is fucked up for a supposedly top tier league - but the talent is there, the drafting has been the last 5 years, and they've got the tools to be a good team if they can get past the minor league attitude.

Your right about the San Jose part(plus a few other teams like houston and DC) but my point was that it takes more to make a team and franchise successful and stadium has little to do with it unless you're playing in a dump like RFK. I guess my big issue is that fans only seem to care about SSS which doesn't make sense to downgrade from a 60000 seat stadium to a 20000 seater that may be a little more convenient to get to just because it's turf and half empty. Honestly man, if you're ever in the New England area around a game hit me up. I'll show you Gilette - it's a hell of a place to watch a football game or go.. get a steak or something. But it's awful for soccer. Even at 30-40,000 people it feels empty. Even at games with 60k+ it feels empty. It's just not designed for anything other than corporate American football. Also, only a handful of teams are drawing 40k+ crowds consistently. Puzzlingly, Orlando was one of those teams but decided to limit their SSS to 20K. Portland is looking to expand, and KC should probably do so as well. For everyone else, 18-20K is plenty at the moment. Remember that MLS itself is only 20 years old as a league... if in 20 years MLS is as big as the NFL, it'll probably have the clout for stadium expansions/new stadiums by then

At first Orlando was going to cap it at 20k but then they smartly revised their plans to 25k.
