He's a poor mans Cryuff, anyone who hasn't only been following football for the last 10 years knows this.

The very system he plays in today and has excelled at is Cryuffs invention. Messi didn't re-invent football in any way, he's ''simply'' mastered what already existed. Cryuff not only had Messi's skill in most aspects, he actually re-invented European Football and is the father of the modern game.
