Dallas and Nashville have really good attendance and Nashville just BTFO of a supposed "dynasty".

>>
>>75441747
Close.

1.Move Providence to Hartford.
2. San Diego is too small, Sun Belt, and non-white to support an NHL team
3. Regina cares about hockey, but is too small to support an NHL team
4. Ditto for Halifax probably.
5. Cleveland won't support an NHL team more than Columbus
6. Toronto should have two teams
7. Portland could probably make a team work
8. New York can support two teams (but not three)
9. Montreal could maybe have a second team
>>
>furpuck
>>
>>75443059
I'm sorry but you're not even from the US much less Connecticut, and that being the case you don't understand the atmosphere here. In Connecticut the Whalers literally have legendary status, everyone knows of them even people who don't really like hockey, they would do very well in CT, especially because I'm sure people who go watch the Bridgeport soundtigers would see the whalers as well as fans who simply don't go to the Wolfpack games
>>
>>75443059
>Explain the Hartford Wolfpack's dreadful attendance and then explain how a major league team there would be even remotely worth it.

It's minor league.

Hartford would rally around their only major league team as a matter of civic pride. Plus they would become everybody's second-favorite team due to their history, awesome logo, and Brass Bonanza.

The margins would be small, but Hartford would work.

>Move Providence to Hartford
Providence's minor league team has far better attendance than Hartford's.
>San Diego too small to support an NHL team.
You're a fucking idiot. San Diego is California's second largest city and its minor league team's attendance is impressive.
>Cleveland won't support an NHL team more than Columbus.
Cleveland is a far more sports-dedicated city than Columbus and its minor league team has great attendance.
>Toronto should have two teams.
Give one to London first.
>Portland could probably make a team work.
Their minor's attendance suggests otherwise.
>New York can support two teams
Sure, but the Islanders have been struggling attendance-wise and would be better suited elsewhere. If New York wanted to do 2 teams, they'd both have to play in the city.
>Montreal could maybe have a second team
It definitely could, probably in Laval, but bring back the Nordiques first.

Put Nashville back if anything, they have actually made a good attempt to bring it to the people. I have a friend here in college who is from there and apparently he heard about lots of celebrating and news from relatives back home. He doesn't watch hockey himself.

There is already enough California or Texas teams.

As much as I would like an NHL team in San Diego, I don't know if I see it happening. A publicly funded arena would either be a really big success or a really big failure, but right now is the time for anybody to swoop in while the normies are noticing the absence of a team other than the Padres. But as good as Gulls attendance is, I feel like NHL attendance would be very low unless they kept current Gulls tier pricing. They would probably do poorly in the TV market too.

Cleveland Indians have literally no people going to their games despite being perennial contenders, Browns fans are self pitying tryhard retards patting each other on the back over how tough they have it and Cavs fans were literally 404 before LeBron.

Columbus has Ohio State football which musters a far larger fanbase than all Leaveland teams put together.
