Our home games happened 5 minutes by bike away from our house. For away games the parent split up so that everybody took 4 kids. Not every parent has time to spent half a sunday watching 10 year olds play football.

Yes, and it was awful, even when i scored or my team won, he always said, 'hah that 10 from (opposite team) is a really good player, you couldn't even touch him, i'm sure you're gonna have nightmares with him tonight (laugh)'. I still playing nowadays in the local league but he doesn't watch me anymore

Our parents usually rotate between halves. While half of our team's parent were at house preventing our favelas houses to be robbed, the other half usually was making a full guard around the pitch with handmade shotguns to avoid any narco-cartel war bursting out near the kids.
It was nice but the throw ins were a fucking chore.
