Cowboys didn't luck into Prescott, Will McClay and Scott Linehan had Prescott valued in like the 2nd and early 3rd rounds, certainly more valued than the other 31 teams in the league. Garrett coached him in the senior bowl, and they gave Prescott extended workouts and IQ tests and such. There was no lucking into Dak Prescott, Cowboys knew that he would most likely still be there in the late 3rd and early 4th round, so they used one of their compensatory picks on him. Did they luck in the fact that he pretty much exceeded every single expectation during the season?
