He runs the sport in Portugal and to a lesser extent Spain (Valencia and Real Madrid). But traditionally, Barca don't do business with Mendes. You really can't blame Mendes for this.

There were plenty of other midfielders, better than Gomes, available for the same price (Eriksen and Pjanic as playmakers, Kante as a box-to-box). But they chose Gomes. It's just weird.
