The other 20% are all far-too-soon adaptation of mangas/light novels so even if that the source material is good, there isn't enough to complete

Putting all of your time and effort into a hobby that you don't actually practice always ends up feeling unfulfilling in the end. Watching sports 24/7 and never actually playing the sports is similar to listening to music 24/7 and never actually making any music of your own. Men like to create things and be engaged in our hobbies, when all you do 100% of the time is consume and you never produce you end up feeling like shit.

I don't suggest dropping sports altogether but I suggest maybe playing them more and watching them/talking about them less. Buy a basketball and start shooting hoops for like an hour a day. It's fun as fuck and it feels good.
